Archeage or FFXIV?

ManteesMantees Member UncommonPosts: 37

Hello everybody.

I have never played any of the two and don't know very much about them.
I am getting tempted to try a new MMORPG now, but don't know which one to choose.

What are according to you the pros and cons of these two games, and which one is your favourite choice?

Thanks!

    FFXIV

that's all you need to know.

    Depends what you want.

FFXIV is a traditional themepark, lots of good PvE content.

ArcheAge has themepark elements but is a sandbox, if you can't make your own fun through farming/crafting and PvP, there isn't much to do in it.

ArcheAge also has a big problem with gold farmers and hackers. I'm slowly losing my will to keep playing it at this point.

played them both liked FF more. AA has potential but the botters/hackers and gold sellers are just bad...not to mention the high lvl players who love pking lower lvls because they lack skills and balls to fight someone their level lol

free 7 day sub and unlocks for swtor new accounts and 90+ day inactive subs click here to get it!

Click here for trove referral, bonuses to both!

AA: Full of hacks, exploits, bots and scams and its a fail2play game so tons of parasites in game

FF ARR: One of the best Themepark games ever made with 2.5 million subs and counting.

    This isn't a hard call.

Play Garbage (AA) or play something good.

When I wake up, the real nightmare begins

FFXIV by a mile. It's hard to fault, it's about the perfect themepark game.

AA is full of bots and gold spammers, Trion's ripping everyone off left, right and centre. I couldn't recommend this game to anyone.

That's what open world PvP is all about. If your looking for skill based PvP you don't play OWPvP.

I have to say that FFXIV is a much better game than AA. (Much much much better IMHO (lvl 50 in both games, for what that is worth))

But AA is free to play.

I would advice you to play AA first, and if you don't like it try FFXIV.

I think they have a "Try for 14 days" thing you can go for. And then you can decide for yourself.

if you prefer PVE (and themepark), go FFXIV

if you prefer PVP (and semi-sandbox), go AA

    FFXIV is a good game.

    AA is good mmorpg.

It really depends what are you looking for, a good online cooperative game or a mmorpg?

    If you like PvP, AA.

    If you like PvE, WoW.

FF isn't even a choice.  WoW offers much more, and is better in all aspects.

matter of subjective opinion - i consider FFXIV a lot better then WoW in many regards (quests, storyline, public events, crafting, character development .....)
