#1 WOW still superior option (for me), especially if I choose to pay for a MMO.
#2 No purpose playing ArcheAge F2P long term. I would play it if my goal is to grind out the levels, try the classes and explore the world, which is something I do rarely even in single player games.
#3 Failed pricing model/system. Any F2P MMORPG with "economy" that allows the player to gain currency faster or easier through spending $ is a big NO. Right now prooly is like 5-10% whales, 90-95% F2P players. 1-2 years will be 70-80% whales cuz 20-30% of the F2P players will be left playing.
If ArcheAge was the best F2P MMO option today I would be playing it, but sadly that's not the case.

We don't care. But please do, start yet another post on the topic.
So you came away with all that without playing a single minute of the game. Amazing!
best free to play game imo, sitting on 5k gold, and 41 apex, just from crafing, and playing the auction house.
No, let him share his well thought out wisdom with us. It really is fascinating to be allowed into the inner thoughts of a great mind.
For instance, future generations will be able to hold open symposiums on what the hell point no.2 even meant, and the debates on what the author was intending when he used the word 'especially' in point no.1 will be deep and lengthy.
I can only hope more WoW players stop by to offer their insights into a game they have never played. It clearly is an untapped mine of brilliance.
Hopefully world of draenor or whatever it's called while divert people attention to something else.
You don't like AA, we get it, get going pls; no need to make 40k threads about the same stuff you are not a special snowflake.
Stopped reading at WoW is superior....
We all have different likes. If you like WoW, then AA is NOT for you.
I highly doubt that based on your first statement. WoW and ArcheAge are night-and-day different from each other on so many levels. There's just no comparison to them at all and in doing so it shows your ignorance about the concepts of ArcheAge (cemented by the statement that you said you never even installed the game). I'm sorry, but you are not the target audience of ArcheAge and it's not a matter to the developers if you ever do install the game. Sure it has questing, but the game is still a Sandbox (or Sandpark?) and not a Themepark that WoW is.
Night and day different? Are both MMO's about leveing a character to max lvl, gearing up for PvP or PvE? Yes. Both games have rewarding system in place for successful PvP and PvE. So, forgive me if I have hard time to find that great distinction.
Finally, I don't see ArcheAge as a sandbox, not until one player can have the tools and freedom to take a squad dozen players by himself or avoid a gangfest of 20+ on the battlefield with the right skills/strategy. Sandboxes are about freedom, freedom to conquer, enslave/own players in games that are about combatant PvP. To take over the land, to take over the plots, to employ laws, content and missions that others are willing to do for you. That's an example of a sandbox. ArcheAge is poorly designed hybrid at best.
I also liked Ultima Online, SWG Pre-CU, Anarchy Online, Guild Wars 1. I unlike you am not limited on one specific type of MMO to find ways to enjoy it. As long as its done properly, with high standard, polish, depth themepark or sandbox I'll play it.
Like I said...AA is not for you.
Its not for a lot of NA players, so dont feel bad! Its a Korean game with Open world PvP.. Not for everyone.
I find few NA players really into AA. I like it. Im not limited to what I like, we just like different things
ON another note. The name of your OP is."Why I never installed".
Let me get this right, you never installed the game? You never actually played it? You just give some random excueses on why you never installed?
Your a Spotlight poster? WTF....
Don't feel bad about what exactly? What you're arguing about has nothing to do with this thread, so I suggess you read it carefully again. FYI, World of Warcraft has open world PvP as well as I can recall. You can label it afterwards further as "Korean", but there is no difference, open world PvP is open world.
I'm happy for you that you like the game and I hope you continue enjoying it. And you can suck on my forum title more if you want in meantime. For some my opinions might be viewed as "excuses" and for others as a "valuable and useful information".
Finally, I don't need to play a game to know all I need to know about it. There are these things called videos, player feedback, and features usually on the official site explaining in detail what the game is about.
I hope this time you stick with ArcheAge, cuz obvioslly the last MMO's you've spent playing lost your interest and I hope when the new shiny MMO comes it won't be the same case. So, I'm sorry if I view you as the last person credible to tell me which MMO's are for who.
I thought two other regions also had problems with it as well...it's not just a NA thing. /shrug
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
I've played both. I feel WoW is vastly superior as well. I do believe both games are meant for different audiences, though.
Valuable and useful information from someone who made a thread about why they didn't install the game.
Pretty sure that would be called trolling.
You're not the only one.
Op is trying to start a flame war, and to use Op's word, thats my opinion.

^ Simply brilliant
This whole thread reminds of the movie A Few Good Men, where Tom Cruise brought in 2 witnesses that are going to testify that they don't know the defendent at all
Trolling is starting topics or hijacking them with points you don't really care about nor really believe, and at times... know nothing about, for the sole purpose of fishing for reactions.
