EverQuest II: Aerakyn Player Race Detailed

The Everquest 2 site has been updated with news of the just-announced Aerakyn player race. Players will be able to purchase the ability to play as Aerakyn beginning November 11th and a new developer blog is on the site to lay out the unique qualities of the Aerakyn.

The Aerakyns were once the unwilling soldiers of the great Prismatic Dragon, Kerafyrm. Now free from his thrall, but unable to return to their homelands, they seek to re-establish their culture in Norrath. Since the Aerakyns were used as shock troops by Kerafyrm throughout Age’s End, they are looked upon suspiciously by most Norrathians. Despite the general prejudice against them, the Aerakyns are a neutral race of seasoned warriors who are determined to prove their worth. Let’s take a look at some of the characteristics that really make the Aerakyns stand out from other Norrathian races!

    LOL,  this is what Smedley thinks the industry is becoming, advertise the game for free, BUT charge for everything under the sun.

    i do not agree with having marketplace races

    but considering EQ2 already has 19 races (for free) -  i see no reason to purchase this

    The more i hear about this eq2 nonsense the more i'm thinking they can take landmark and eqnext and shove it.I was actually gonna try eq2 a while back being i'm sick of most mmo's at this point,but these prices on a game this old with a dwindling player base are they trying to kill the game???? just disgusting the crap these companies try and pull anymore

    No one is gonna buy that when they can just play Frogloks.

    I'm quite done with the blatant double-dipping cash-grabbing that SOE's business model has turned into. You can make money without cheesing it up. Unfortunately, their leadership needs to be aired out before that will happen.

    That retard, Smedley, adamantly believes this is the future of gaming. Meanwhile FFXIV surpasses all SoE's products combined, even after 2 years of fail.
