If i grasped this correct, the author played the game on a PC with an Xbox controller..
WHY?
What the hell is wrong with the mouse / keyboard combo ?
Probably nothing? Maybe he didn't have an Xbone to test with but wanted the Xbone experience for controlling things? Maybe he just like the controller?
Yeah, more of the first. The setup allowed for both, but because most people are going to be coming at it through Xbone/PS4/PC setup using a controller, I wanted to be able to speak to that experience.
Plus, like a lot of games of its type, the gameplay and UI are clearly optimized for a gamepad. I'm sure m&k will work fine (and are my preferred option for FPS/TPS games anyway).

I would say that since you tried the game on the pc it would be a help if you tried the moues and keyboard setups as many times games that are made for consoles don't really work well on pc.
Having said that, given my past experience with Bioware games, I doubt there will be issues using mouse and keyboard. Still, if it was a lesser known developer it would be better to use pc controls on a pc game.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
After more than 15 concecutive years, I quit mmo's and returned to my roots, rpg's (adventures were also a favorite genre of mine back then). D3 is my home the last couple of months and i m having more fun than in any mmo for a long time now. I hope the same for Dragon Age. I think it wont let me down. Tbh my only concern is my pc. I think i will need a generous upgrade as i m playing with a quad core 9400, 8GB ram and an ATI 6970...

Unless you play at 4K, it will easily run near maxed out. And what's the point of getting it on a PS4? You can lower the settings to play it on your PC (which you don't even need to on a GTX760) and run it like it would on a PS4.
Also, the standard version on PC is available for $40 from Mexico Origin, $20 cheaper than on a PS4.
