Delay gratification and save to get something where you dont have to cut corners... Hmmmm.......Sounds weird but may be worth a try.
no no no
that clearly makes sense.
Anyway, I think the OP already talked about waiting a bit, I'm just saying for the purpose of furthering the discussion, because you know it will come up again later.

Thank you for posting from Soviet Russia. The OP can make their own choice, and if that's a HDD, that's fine, it's their build and their money. I won't say it's wrong, I'm just offering my opinion on the matter.
This isn't about choice, it is about an advise and advising SSD drive is wrong.
And yes, opinions may be wrong.
SSD is nothing more than a luxury, dedicated GPU in a gaming rig on the other hand, is a must.

I now just see it as a matter of storage space. And news flash, AMD integrated video is on par with a lot discrete video any more.So with that, I think I'm about done with this part of the discussion.
And that's the thing.
I am recommending something that will work the best for OP, you are recommending something that works best for YOU.
HDD is a safe choice, you cannot go wrong with it. Which is what matters here. SSD on the other hand can easily turn into a very wrong solution regarding storage capacity.
Suggesting an SSD in this case is simply ill advice.
And your comment "AMD integrated video is on par with a lot discrete video any more" just shows how off you are with your recommendations.

I think that's where you are wrong.
I am recommending what has worked well for me. You are correct in stating I'm recommending what works best for me.
But that's exactly what you are doing too. Recommending what has worked well for you, and is best for you.
Only the OP can determine what is best for the OP. I don't have that power, and neither do you.
It's the OPs money, their time, and they are the ones that have to live with the end result.
Not you, and not I.
I'm perfectly ok with the fact that you don't like my advice. That's cool - free advice is bad as often as it is good. I could point to a lot of articles to back my position, but I don't feel the need to get that defensive here, I'm pretty comfortable just stating (what I know as) facts, and letting the OP (and any other readers) think for themselves. It doesn't cost me anything if my advice is ignored, and it doesn't net me anything if it's taken - so all's fine with the world.

If he could, he would not need to ask for advice with building a new computer, something he has not done ever before.
Also, I am wondering how you know what works best for me since I have not stated my preference anywhere...but I guess you have some practice in false assumptions.
