A while ago i posted a long rant on here about how the SWTOR F2P model was highly screwed up. Just wondering is that still in standing true?

It was never true, it was never screwed up, it was always up to each own.
With the exception of people who should be looking at their computers to figure out why their computer doesn't play (out of the couple hundred thousand who play SWTOR every day)....
No.. it's not F2P.. it's basically free to try. Anything you try to do above 20 will be XP gimped. Preferred can do it.. but totally F2P.. I know guys who pride themselves in game of having done it and not paid a dime.. but the slog they went through to get there was ridiculous.
If you didn't like the way the F2P was before, it hasn't changed.
But IMO the game got quite better. I paid for a few months, got a few max levels, and have dropped back to Preferred to play to my hearts content.
The free to play restrictions are doing exactly what Electronic Arts and BioWare want them to do. Cause people to to pay them something or go away.
Their attempts at making people use authenticators are also having the same effect.
That sounds a bit pompous. They are talking about a game that is labeled FREE to play not Subscription based.
As a F2P game SWTOR is horrible, bar none.
All the arguments against it being a horrible F2P that say 'pay and everything is fine' are claims that it's a subscription based game and not F2P. Thanks for supporting the side you're trying to bash
