You honestly think that TS and regrade from kits can destroy the economy?

This game is a mess. My whole guild (which was a pretty established one on our server) just disbanded because of people quitting or not giving a F about stuff anymore due to the botched Auroria launch, exploits, cash shop missteps etc. Land is definitely not hard to come by anymore, I can tell you that. Come the 19th I suspect there will be a bunch of land freeing up.

the game is good ... how it is managed by trion, the monetization of it, the hacks/bots/exploits and the toxic community  is the problem

I have been liking AA. The ability selection is awesome. But the drama is getting lame. I WAS liking that it was F2P, since I am getting back into MMOs with my daughter, who is getting into them for the first time, and I didn't want to toss bunches of cash at subs. But I think I need to find a sub game for us to play.

That's what I used to say about Age of Wushu.  Just replace Trion in your sentence with SnailUSA and it would be almost word for word.

I would like to feel smug and tell you I saw this exact thing happening.  True, I saw this game being a problem but not specifically for the current reasons.  I briefly played the beta and left it at that.  The problems with this game have surpassed my amazing prognosticating abilities.

Either way - don't waste your gold (or worse real money) on kits - doesn't work anymore :/

I'll PM you the explicit instructions found at one of the usual sites (with a second post in that thread saying "this should be moved to the Elite section") and you tell me if that was what you tried.... reason I'm asking is because you only needed one, not 5.

edit: and no I haven't tried it myself... I haven't logged in to the game in more than 2 weeks.

Wow!  I have scanned over a few threads on this game. Is it really that bad?

Or is it the normal cheats, exploits and hacks as other MMO's?

Really odd thread , not the OP , but the people/person actually trying the exploit. Are you sane at all ? Serious question. Why would anyone who likes / supports a game actually try an exploit. It has made you look very foolish / young / new to gaming / new to MMO's. Go grow up and actually understand that what you tried ( wheather it worked or not ) was very stupid indeed and if you don't understand what I have just said then God help you.

    Cheers,

Have you confirmed it yourself? AA is full of players claiming all kinds of crap. go ahead try it.

Why would anyone (who cares about their account) try a known exploit, just to see if it works? I've seen some ridiculous suggestions here over the years, this might top them all..

Just leave that to Trion and XL they have a good track record of doing it themselves.... when mass people leave so goes an economy.... if it truly is run by the players that is.

The concept and idea of the game is good. This game was poorly codded and developed, poorly implemented into each region and is so ancient in implementation that it plays like a Lineage upgrade (given the nice physics of course). The UI feels like something out of 2000 and leaves little to customize for play style of each player. The lack of lag tolerance and ability queue makes the game in congested areas play horrible. The cities are big and pretty but feel empty even with players running around. They claim it is the ultimate sandbox MMO, but in reality there is very little of Sandbox in the MMO.

Blame all the people who supported cash shop gaming and blame SOE as the ones who really tried to push this.

People expect to be treated fairly in games, when you design the payment plan so it is not the case you are doomed for failure, except don't tell Chris Roberts that. That game however is getting away with it because it doesn't actually have a game open to the public,so it can continue to RMT it's game to no end.

It is almost like nobody sees the truth,it started when SOE could not compete with Blizzard's Wow,so they thought by marketing F2P ..aka RMT/cash shop they could win back the crowd,Then this design snowballed with everyone else that failed to Blizzard trying the exact same thing.EVERY single one of these games made a ton of money in the first 1-2 months then everyone of them fell off the cliff,it is a PROVEN failed decision to go f2p.

The ONLY game that has actually rebounded and maintained a high populace with sub fees is FFXIV,all the rest would completely fold up shop if they tried to go sub fees because the yare designed to be FREE/cash shop games, which are poorly and quickly designed.

Fixing the exploit requires a patch to change the in-game mechanics. This sort of thing requires communication to XLGames, and then the patch needs to be tested, and then the servers need to be patched.  All of this usually takes time, and on weekends things are a bit slower cause most employees are off work, if any.

If the exploit doesn't work anymore, then that would likely mean it was ninja fixed a while back, but news of its existance only started leaking out just now.  It'd be nice to get confirmation on whether or not this was the case (including whether or not the exploit actually is working anymore).  While I doubt we're getting that, you'd think that if it were really fixed, SOMEONE at Trion would be doing damage control at the forums saying "Guys guys, don't worry!  it's been fixed already!".

Regardless, whether it's fixed or not, it's very odd that Trion is 100% silent on this matter.  Even if it isn't fixed yet, you'd think they'd do what Carbine did and at least threaten players with a "Don't do this. You'll get banned" remark.

Trion apparently has nobody working on the weekends.  I guess they feel that the game is going so well they can afford to take days off and let everything slide until Monday.

Oh, there we go. They just turned off the marketplace.

Scapes' comment was rather tame "At minimum, you will lose your items".  Should have threatened bans. It makes me wonder if they'll ban or not for this.  Well, it'll be interesting to watch, either way.

Wait we've been assured it didn't work anymore over and over again in this thread, why would they need to turn it off if that is the case?
