I'm going with Red Mage. It's the only original (FF1) base class not in the game at this point.

    I CAN DREAM.

'he does also note that looking at the Final Fantasy series carefully will play a part in accurately guessing what this next class will be.'

That quote makes it seem like it will be a rare class from the series.

They're doing this interesting thing whereby Yoshi-P's shirts will give hints to the next class that will be revealed.

We know that a gun class is likely to be the next, as they announced that alongside Ninja.

He was wearing a 007 shirt with a gun on it.

There is a class called "Agent" in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 that uses a gun.

The Agent class was exclusive to males, and only one person in the world could be it (if I recall correctly).  This restriction will likely be lifted if it's the class in question.

Also... the link at the time of this writing only shows me the picture.  Is this the same for everyone else?

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

All I see is the picture, so I guess the article is 1000 words.

It's going to be the class "Machinist" from FFV (Edgar is one). The class uses guns. I just know it!

    Currently playing: MHW & MHGU

Or maybe just the "Gunner" class that's been used before.

But, IIRC there is a Fusilier or Musketeer guild inside the main city hub surrounded by water. It's shared with another guild place and there is also a targeting range in that same place or in another guild.

It could be anything.  Though most evidence points towards Agent -- if the whole "shirt" thing is to be believed.  Also with them saying it won't be what people expect, and giving the implication that it is a rare class in the FF series with their wording.

As a whole I have no clue; my experience with 1.0 would lead me to say Muskateer as there was a guild for that in the first game that was not given a class due to obvious problems the game had after launch.

For the new gunner class I bet it will be corsair: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Corsair

Admiral Merlwyb, the leader of Limsa Lominsa is a pirate and corsair will fit the decsription of the new gunner class.

weirdly the thing that struck me on the expansion is the way the title displayed, so basically its not FFXIV-ARR  ( heavensward) , but FFXIV -heavensward) . so basically the title would revert back to being only FFXIV rather then FFXIV ARR or FFXIV 2.0.

Because ffxiv arr is 2.0. Heavensward is 3.0

Would be strange calling it ffxiv 2.0 3.0

A red mage that fits neatly into one of the clearly delineated tank/healer/dps roles of FFXIV is no red mage at all.
