Anniversary ship sale - last chance to grab limited rare ships. The prices are good some are cheaper than what original backer payed.
If you ever wanted a banu, or some bombers now is the time.
Comments
If you like fighting and have money to burn superhornet.
Otherwise a 315 should do it.
Yep last chance, well until they sell them again.
Couldn't justify paying for a ship especially if you cant even fly them yet.

Let us know here (or to me in private mail) what playstyle you prefer - fighter, criminal, explorer, trader, PvE, PvP, working together in larger groups etc. We will then make some suggestions on suitable ships.
Let us also know if you want to start helping playtest SC quickly (for a small amount of $$ ... 30 or 45) OR if you have money to spare to support the Star Citizen project and idea (e.g. getting a bigger ship which is still being worked on and which you cannot playtest yet).

I will make it simple: don;t expect that any ship that is cheaper than 100$ to be anything more than a starter ship.
Like other said you san buy the cheapest package which is bellow 50 but until game is launched you will be doomed to be cannon food because right now you can;t get better ships trough gameplay.
Anniversary sale is in full swing.
Of the 5000 Aurora starter packages for 20 $ only 2777 are left .... thats some 75 packages per minute approx. 30 min into the sale. (Edit: all sold after approx. 100 minutes)
The first set of 50 Javelins was sold out in 11 seconds according to the posts on the SC forums.
No info about number of other ships sold on Black Friday. I never heard about Black Friday before. This year suddenly half of Europe (and basically every online shop selling in Europe) seems to have Black Friday sales. Was this the same in the last years ?

lol...
"To celebrate the anniversary of people donating huge amounts of money.... we invite you all to spend even more!"
To celebrate that Kickstarter-like projects went from cute indy style ideas to the level of AAA titles and suddenly the whole industry took notice and still ponders the ramifications of "what-the-hell-just-happened-here" ....

Notice how the hype for this game has vaporizes slowly? That's what happens when in game items are mixed with "in real life economy".
Star Citizen will be another nitche at best. The only market I see maintaining is the same one that kickstarted this game and donated for it.
Kopogero , in this I agree with you .
Star Citizen is niche, because its PC only - by choice and it does not even try to bend its knee for console compability.
Star Citizen is niche, because it targets the space-sim lovers out there.
So at the time of writing its 663650 Star Citizens, not the 32,5 million copies/users of GTA 5. But i guess that is the way most of us backers like it. As I expect the full version of SC sometime late in 2016 and as the number of backers rises by approx. 35000 per month (a not sustainable rate i guess) I would estimate the number of backers to be higher than a million in 2016 before the final release.
It may be a niche game, but IMHO it will be a niche game to be remembered.

Friend of yours, Erillion?
Nope. Reported him.

I think people have a lot of things wrong about the game: the ship you buy, initially, means shit. You can still get most of those ships with in-game currency. However much you want to spend (like the $2.500 ship), depends on how much you like to pay for virtual goods. I find it absurd, personally, but there are brainless people with lots of money out there! Let them do whatever they want with it. If they will end up being OP (there is no info about the ships in-game impact), then it will likely turn into a P2W game like so many others. Who cares? I will stop playing at that point - but RSI, the creators, will have made $200 million with a virtual casino. Good for them.
I personally don't believe the game will ever release, at least not with the endless list of features they promise. Yet I just pledged $20 for beta access.

You may want to keep an eye on the progress (or lack thereof) of this project:

Apparently, reading isn't your forte. I said I don't believe it will release with ALL of its features. Yes, I've seen the "progress" and, with the exception of a few "modules", everything else is just words and promises. Maybe you work for them, I don't know, but being a die-hard fan gets you nowhere. Maybe do something else with your life? Like be a productive member of society perhaps?

You said this :
"I personally don't believe the game will ever release, at least not with the endless list of features they promise."
and to that i posted an answer. So, I guess my reading skills are not so bad after all. I can even cut and paste ! Wow ! Go me !

Or do both - working and gaming. I am a quality manager. That does not keep me from posting on forums in the evening (its Friday evening around here, ya know ! ....the miracle of international time zones, oh Mister from Argentina) and playing some computer games, which i do ever since Pong ;-)

If you believe this game will ever release, then I've got a ship to sell you.
... Never mind, Chris Roberts beat me to it.
Thank you, already got mine (Constellation). Don't need another ...
And yes, I think the game will release. In my personal opinion in late 2016, with more stuff being added throughout 2017.

Hi Erillion, I have to say I admire your dedication to this game. I am a bit of a sceptic as well, but I would certainly like to see a good space sim type of game out there on the market. At least one that isn't totally PvP based, that a casual player can enjoy.
Anyway I hope we see more evidence of a real game because I just haven't seen enough yet to believe that. Just that what I have seen, looks interesting.
Anyway, thanks for the updates, and hoping you are right.
FFA Nonconsentual Full Loot PvP ...You know you want it!!
I often wonder what people EXPECT from a game in non-feature-complete Pre-Alpha phase. Seems to me that many expect a fully fleshed out, balanced and tested game. Naive ?! Impatient ?! These remarks BTW are not in answer to your post, but some thoughts in general.
Maybe its because most people (including me) have never seen this "Making-Of" phase of a AAA game. The first 3-4 years of development, where no journalist would ever see anything beyond some concept art and screenshots. With SC for the first time you see the full spectrum ... as an idea turns into a concept, a concept into some tech demos, the demo into some testable alpha modules and then it all comes together. Which then requires polishing, testing, quality control. etc.
THAT is what i find fascinating about the Star Citizen Project.
