A Few Questions About RF
There are a few pieces of info I can't seem to find maybe some of you all can help me. I'm trying to decide whether or not to try RF based on this info:
Can you try the game now (or later) without buying it? Or do you have to pay 40-50 bucks to see if its any good? The only beta stuff I can find is for preorder people, will that change?
Is there any death penalty for PvP? Do you get anything from winning PvP?
Can you communicate with people of different factions, or is it like WoW where you can't talk to them?

Right now is a closed beta. you can sign up for it on the codemasters website. I do not belive there will ever be an open beta so i would just sign up or pre-order.
You do loose xp when you die to a mob but not in pvp. The loss is really not that bad unless you die multiple times in a row from what i have seen.
You can only talk to your faction.
A quick clarifications: Do you have to pay any money to sign up for the closed beta?
Do you gain anything from PvP? Loot, XP, some sort of points, etc.?
If you die in PvE you will lose anywhere between 0% - 8% of your xp (from what I've heard).
If you die in PvP you will lose some of your rank points depending on who and what level killed you. The PvP rank points are used to determine the race leadership (top 5 in rankings).
The race leadership can talk to the other faction's leadership. Also, I think I read somewhere that you can eventually purchase the ability to (but that's just a rumor).
The beta chars will most likely be wiped.
