    I would love to help, I have often thought of my own community to feature MMORPG's but I never got around to it.

    I am GREAT with HTML, and of course, I'm willing to be a news poster for free, as a hobby.

    I bought a new computer recently JUST for MMORPG's. So I play ALOT of them day and night.

    I have experience as a news poster as well, I used to play a game called Neopets and I was a news poster on several different Fansites.

    Please let me know your decision, thanks.

    Actually, we are going to launch a new application system soon that will allow anyone to apply for various positions.  Then when we need people the staff and I can review them online and recruit from the pool.  It will be a great way to find out what skills people have and what kind of time dedication they can offer - and have it all on file.

    I am hoping this system will be online within 30 days...

    whoa! i thought you had to be over 18! nice! just gotta learn that skill thingy with letters... ummm.... heh, i can definitely get news and write good stuff though. i write better with a spell check though... image

    All of our staff is volunteer.  We require staff to be 18+ for many reasons...mainly because of maturity.  Also because you have to be an adult to enter a true legal contract.  And at times we require staff to follow rules and be given confidential information or materials.  If this is ever abused we like to know that legal action can be pursued.

    We used to have staff under the age of 18 and all it did was create headaches.  I know that there are mature minors out there and there are immature adults...but we use this rule to make it easier.

    and btw....u said legal action if someone said a secret!?

    so if one of the staff tells a person what the next months contest is gonna be....u can sue them or something!?

    Not really what I meant.  More concerned about them leaking information from game companies that they are privy to.  Or furthermore, if a staff member slanders another company and they sue my corporation...I would rather just pass that on to the staffer that misrepresented this site (although I don't think my staff would do this, it is wise to protect yourself).

    Many don't realize it but you are subject to legal action if you violate a beta NDA as well.  I think they would have a tough time against minors though...but who knows...it didn't seem to stop the record industry from charging minors image

    I would also get VERY upset if a staffer leaked future plans for the site.  There are some plans for MMORPG.COM that are not publicly known.

    The main reason for the 18+ rule is just plain and simple maturity and wisdom.

    I would say far out on anything that you don't know already.  The nearest BIG update will be when we create our guild hosting system...which I would like to see launch Q1 2004 image

    Probably around that time.  With the guild hosting we will have a lot more to offer with a premier membership, like more features for guild sites and stuff like that...basically I want to be able to offer people a lot of extras for their donation - better mailbox, better hosting, no ads, special features...etc. 

    I will never block the basic content from standard members though.  All the stuff here now will always be here.

    Also, before we do the guild hosting, we need to build a really advanced community system.  This will allow people to show what games they play, how often they play, etc.  So that when you are looking for guild members - our site can help you find people who are into the same game(s) as your guild.  We are looking to do lots of things to bring the MMORPG.COM community closer together.

    I know how to spell properly. It helps me post faster to use things such at "ur" and other sorts of slang. If it helps me then I'll do it.
