Ok so i'm trying to get back into mmorpg's but there are so many to choose from. i have checked mmohut and mmobomb but those websites are not up to date with most mmorpgs. so i was wondering what type of mmorpg should i try out? i am currently looking for a mmorpg that is not like diablo 3, and WoW play style, active community, and also good for english users. by active community i dont mean a game where there are nothing but cash shop spenders and 4 year players that are on the game like flyff. but been looking at scarlet blade looks pretty nice but in case it doesnt work out can i get some suggestions on what game should i try.

Everyone is playing WoW right now. WoD is laid out really well for new players, if you start at level 90, which you get a free 90 for buying it. I personally recommend it, however in order to help you out can you talk about what kind of games you like in general. They don't have to be mmorpg's but if you could tell me your top ten favorite games, I could at least point you in the right direction.

    My Top 10 Mmorpg's are

    1. WoW
    2. Guild Wars 2
    3. Swtor
    4. FF14
    5. Wildstar
    6. Eso
    7. Rift
    8. TSW
    9. Tera
    10. Apb Reloaded(Sucks but it's the only game of its kind on pc, and I love GTA)

I feel that any of those games are worth a shot, each of them offers something unique, though a few are very similar, the settings and general feel of them are very different. Hope this helps, I'll check back for this thread later.

Looks like a solid list there. If you want games that play like WoW I'd say that SWTOR, Rift and FFXIV are your best bets. Most of the others are action combat games, or vastly different.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Cept for most aren't playing WoW these days except avid WoW junkies...tell it like it is.

I WOULD say that WoW IS an easy game to get into as long as you don't get into the crap they say you "need to do" when playing it. If you get it and maybe an expansion or two from the early years, then just play it for yourself...then you do have a great fun game. I don't know what the hell they have done to that game these days though...makes me cringe.

    Other than that...list is great.

    :P
