10 day trial plz help me

i have just downloaded the 10 day trial to see what starwars is like to play but when i try to start the game it says to select a Galaxie to start from i click on the list but there is nothing there its just blank whats going on can someone help me b4 the 10 days r up

never mind people i have uninstalled it i cant be fcuked to play a game what is about to go down
how oftern do they go down is it every day, oh yeh i am in the GMT so i am few hours ahead of u if u r from the U.S
i am waiting for the servers to come back online but on the launch pad window it says all servers r up. i click on play and get into the game and when i go to select what galaxy to start from i cant still nothing to select ??????
I'd uninstall it. Once you log in, if you ever get it to work, well... it just goes downhill from there.

I think about 95% of all trial goers end up coming to the same conclusion... You can see it plain as day here too, AA used to be high on the NGE, now he isn't tooting the SWG horn anymore, the only one left is Obraik... The bugs are simply unsurmountable...
I find it unfathomable that /sit still doesn't work properly and that they never fixed the mission waypoint bug either... This game is pathetic...
Here'e some advice to follow:
1. Uninstall the SWG trial.
2. Shell out to a DOS prompt.
3. Type Format C:
You'll be doing the mmo community a huge favor.

If you want honest help with a question regarding SWG , DO NOT Try to find it here . All you will find on this forum are flames to you or SWG . There are to many trolls here that obviously have nothing better to do with their time , than cry about SWG everyday . They obviously do not play, their knowledge of SWG is all based on opinion .
Its roughly the same on any forum regarding any game on this site . According to most trolls all games are dying anyone who plays them are nothing but fanbois , all MMO companys do it for the money ( this last bit really makes me laugh ) why the hell would they not want to make money off somthing that costs in the milions to create and maintain ?
For real help , log on to station.com go to the SWG forum pick a server you would like to play on . If you live in Europe , It would be best to pick a european server . And ask there for help on what you may need . The problem you seem to be having is due to servers being set to internal . Once they are up this problem should be resolved .

So besides being a cadet company commander of 40 people, studying all morning, wrestling in the evening, and studying again at night, I do absolutely nothing with my life but cry about a computer game.

Ah, and then there is my limited knowledge of the game that I recieved an offer to be a correspondent of. This would be the same game I played from launch, and would be the same game that still has armor guides written by me archived in the old forums.
So I know knothing at all. Nada.

Another thing to note is, you can only select the 'reccomended' galaxies. i.e. They dont want you to try out galaxies that have more than 400 people prime time friday night. I tried the trial version out of curiosity, it only let me join the crappy low population servers.

For one did i mention you by name? If you feel included in what i said there must be a reason . Do you curently Play ? As in since the NGE went live ? Or did you quit and continue to act as though , you are an expert on SWG ?
Secondly you come to brag about your status in SWG , Like i care what it was you did in SWG . Is that gonna make me feel any different ? No it is not , i was simply telling the guy not to try and get SWG help here .
Are you saying as well that there are not people on this site who seem to just sit idle waiting for a new topic on SWG , just to come in and state some opinion that they have already said a million times ?

It's assholes like you that make the game intolerable for new players.
Why not just help him out with a productive post to answer his question rather than let us know that you're a studly veteran who knew what they were doing since even before they read the instruction manual.
While creating a constructive post may take some extra time and thought it may actually help bring new players in who aren't jaded by vets like you.
Remember, The Vets paid for the game that you are playing now. It would not be possible if it weren't for the vets that played for 2+ years and gave 15 USD to SOE every month. Its not the vets fault they are jaded, its SOE's for lieing to the vets. The sheer outcry of the not wanting the NGE shows how much of a wrong decision SOE made.
Imagine you go to a coffeeshop everyday, and you buy drinks there for like 2 years. Over the two years they add computers, better coffee machines, and various other things, and you tip the baristas behind the counter. Then one day, you see that they decided to do reinovations so in two weeks the coffeeshop that you are used to turns into a totally different cafe-restaurante, they decide to turn their backs on their current customers of students and blue-collar workers and want to attract white-collar suits. Becuase white-collar suits will earn them more money. The thing is the white-collar suits don't want to go there because they are going to starbucks. And now their old customers are in an outrage because the coffeeshop owners don't care about how they got to where they were, and don't want to change back.
productive/constructive/honest answer,
Don't touch any SOE online game with a barge poll. Even better if you want to make up your own mind, install and play SWG(if you can get that POS game to actually work!). However my advice would be to keep any sharp stabbing objects or any firearms locked away for the duration of your bugfest trial.
Also avoid any SWG player with "wepps" in thier name or forum tag, otherwise you'll discover why this person should not be engaged in conversation with any lengths of thick rope in the house or razor blades.

Well Malick, at least when you first came here one could have a healthy discussion with you, even if you didn't agree with other's point of view. But lately you've also turned into that which you criticize. Don't you realize that you are also trolling... just from the other side of the argument?
Most of us here have played the game, some for years and even some since the beggining. So our knowledge is not just "based on opinion". And "crying about SWG all day"??? Typical trollish post.

Sorry i don't mind being constructive , or having a good debate .. I just don't feel, when new players to a game get feedback like he has is helping anything .There are people who do not like SOE i don't care about that . I care when people are childish and can't even help someone out . I was telling the guy the truth about this site as i've seen with my own eyes , and even the flamers have pointed out themselves .

Im not trying to start a Flame war , but what is the point in being an *edit* to someone simply seeking help with a game . I guess he figured it says Star wars galaxies : general discussion . I may get some help here . and if you notice i was helpful in my post as well . That is not trolling ....

Don't lecture me on trying to help noobs. Because you really don't know what you are talking about since you don't know my background in this game. What really makes this game intolerable for new players would probably be the game breaking bugs, lack of content, and continued uncertainty about the game's future.
So call me whatever you wish, if it makes you feel better. In fact, insult all the veterans. What do they know? Pretend that they did nothing to help this game. Support the NGE. Go for it. But realize that what you are doing is telling SOE that they can walk all over you if they feel like it, and you'll keep smiling and asking for more.
