I'd say It's worth playing a character through the questing content, but WoD's endgame is non existent, theres very little to do.
A month or so would be fun, and have you see everything there is.
Played: Archlord, GW, RFO, Knight Online, Silkroad, WoW, Rappelz, shaiya, Flyff, Fury, Space Cowboy, Perfect World Beta, Rakion, sword of the new world, Linage 1 and 2, Savage 1

I can't even answer a question like that. It may depend on how long you played before and why you left it.
For me, I just ran back to it when I wanted a game that would work properly and wasn't a buggy mess (after ESO, which I'm now back to again) and also had decent customer service (after the BS being flung in people's faces by Trion).
I lasted TWO days in WoD before I was bored. But that is me. I played WoW for 2 years solid and had a great time. I just can't go back. But it's still a great game. I've just played it enough. Basically, I wasted $75 to try out WoD for two days.
But for you, it could be totally different. It really depends on why you left in the first place.
I voted yes, but still it depends on why someone left in first place. Was it the game that made you quit, was it that life happened, did all friends quit etc..
I bought WoD after i quit pre Cata. Added the key to my account but somehow hesitated to re-sub right away. Some days later i bought a gamecard and since then, i never seem to be in the right mood to really return to the game.
i always returned to wow when a new add-on came out, because of my friends, but when i reached max lvl and did some pvp and pve, wow bored me to death so i quit after every add-on after a few weeks.
if there is more content and more to do in this add-on i would return, because my friends are playing it again, but im not sure if its worth the money.

all my family and friends plays warlords of draenor still, they came back even my girlfriend.
my cousin and my little brother plays warlords of draenor too, my aunt and uncle plays waqrlords of draenor.
its a smash hit.
WoW is still WoW... nothing has changed in that respect. If you don't really care for end game or running battlegrounds, this expansion isn't any different than any of the others. Garrisons are just a repackaged version of dailies. Eventually you will have done all that you can do with them, just like with other dailies. I'd say for the most part, it is garrisons that have people playing WoW again... as to how long it will entertain them, time will tell.
Question is, are you playing anything else? If not, it's probably worth the money just to play with your friends for a while.
Also, generally speaking, if people have to convince you to play it, you won't be playing it for very long. It's like trying to convince a drug user to get clean... it has to be their decision or it will never work.
Not for me.
It was a fun game, but i have already been playing that for years ... everything gets old and boring. I would much rather play new games.
Had to settle for "no" because there wasn't a "Hell no!" option.
Why? Boring, waste of precious time, have nothing to show for all your grinding, it's a human-sized gerbil wheel. Take your pick.

my friends just started with wow again and they are still leveling so they cant tell much about the endgame, but it seems i will not go back.
my friends had to convince me everytime to come back to wow, mostly right after a new add-on release, and you are right, i didnt play it for long.

I m currently playing WoD and i would say its ok for a month or two. No new class, no new race, same old quest system, same old boring combat, professions are crap anymore etc.
This week i got to LFR and killed 3 bosses in 10 mins EXACTLY. I know its LFR but my gameplay is garissons, 10 mins in LFR and another 10 mins/week for a world boss.
I m a WoW addict and i would buy the game anyway, but this is by far the worst expansion experience ever for me. In my eyes its more of a facebook mini game than a real mmoRPG.

Got my Monk and Warrior to level 100 and now working on horde side Shaman.
Yes the game is that fun. Moreover with Legacy buff i love farming old raid content for cool looking transmog sets. I don't see myself getting bored for another 4 to 5 months.

Not because its bad,but because i lost interest.
If i really wanted to i could play on the ptr for free...

I did this with MoP and don't want to waste money on WoD for it to be the same. I don't really enjoy questing to end game and a gear grind when I get there. I used to but I just don't enjoy that type of gameplay anymore. I just want a world to play in and do what I want but there are only a few MMOs out there that are like that and most of them that are there lack polish.
Quit before WoD launched, so I dunno.
I'll likely never return but I'm sure it's still a great game.
I've subbed on and off for years...sometimes, you just need time away from it...After awhile, I'll want to play again...it's just a normal cycle...of course, being older, I don't have time for those marathon sessions from yesteryear...
But for the 1st time...I'm not too excited about getting this expansion...
