All I have to say to all of the people that really dislike a lot of things in this game is that...they almost always have to do with things that you could have found out if you did a little bit of research about the game. And so many of you are mis-informed, that it dis-credits many of your posts.
I'm not a fanbois, and I realize this game could be improved, but for all of you that are saying "Don't bother with this game, its no fun." You don't have any respect from me. Reason being, a ton of people are loving this game. Just because it doesn't appeal to you, doesn't mean it won't appeal to someone else.
You know why there are more negative posts than positive ones on this site? Not because it is a bad game, but because everyone that likes the game is playing it constantly, and not posting on a forum. I'm at work, so I have no choice.
Anyway, I love the game, I love that every mob you fight has a chance of dropping some amazing items. Not a huge chance, but a chance. That kind of makes up for the PT leveling grind. And there is a lot more complexity to the game that people haven't seen, so they are assuming it isn't there.
There are instance battles, and guild battles will be established later on. Someone said there isn't any new content for the game, but if you look on the CM forum, someone just posted what new changes had been made in GIGA update 4. Some huge ones at that, new skills for jobs, stuff like that.
Anyway, I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone either, all I'm having to say is, if you want to play this game because of the graphics, do some research, find out what it is about. Then if it appeals to you, give it a try. So many people just saw a Scrrenshot and pre-ordered it. Now they don't like it because they didn't know what to expect or were misinformed, and they say the game sucks. Why does it suck? because it isn't like everything else you have played? Because it isn't perfect, man, give it a rest.

I mean no seriously because you dont like that car color doesnt mean you have to sit on top of it and yeld at everyone walking buy "I don't like this car, don't waste your money on it!" Honnestly I think most NA players are just LAZY they don't want to bother to read, age old excuse I dont know how my video works I never read the instructions hehe. It's an Asian game I though by now that would already put up some flags on what kind of game it is. If they only research a bit on Asian MMO most of the nay sayers would have known by now?
Well at least some of us "Intelligent" people that research the game will be actualy able to enjoy it properly without those less cultured players :P at retail. It's funny when someone thinks they doing a service to us by saying don't buy this stuff you want like it. Ya your mind readers I bet you know what I like right.

So you're saying that if I had gone into the game expecting mindless grind, a terrible community, so-so graphics, a non-existant economy, no real questing, no real partying or grouping, tons of kill-stealing, an army of clones, no NPC interaction, and PvP that is absolutely pointless if you happen to run into someone a meer 4 or 5 levels ahead of you, and drinking potions faster than you can breathe, I'd have enjoyed the game because I wouldn't have been dissillusioned? Sorry, but this game lacks any good content, and even if what it does have was good, it still wouldn't be enough to be worth paying a monthly fee for. There are better free games than this. RFO might attract a lot of players up until its release, but as soon as any reputable game review site gets their hands on it and gives it what it deserves (5/10 at best), any support the game had except from fools with more cash than sense will dry up just as quickly. This game is all hype, and nothing more. I for one won't even continue playing the beta or use my free month after the game's release. This crap will either be back at Gamestop or on E-Bay as soon as I recieve it.
In addition to that, anyone who thinks anything this game has to offer is even halfway decent has clearly never played any other good MMO. This game is mediocre at best. The only draw is the anime styling, and all the henti-nerds who are going to continue playing this game for that reason alone should just drop it and go beat off to Toonami because that s**t is free.

the game is not a mindless grind if played properly. the graphics are not at all bad compared with some mmo's either.
no economy? the games been going a week wtf u expect? as for the party/grouping i never have any problem getting a group of 8 ppl to go levelling with me.
in the entire post u made theres only 1 thing that i can agree with and that is that the killstealing is bad but then again it could easily be sorted.
No MMO experience, right.... I've played Asheron's Call for 3.5years, AC2 for a year, FFXI for 1.5years, WoW for a year, Lineage 2 for 1.5 years. I have beta tested numerous other MMOs in the meanwhile. I bet you dont even know there a MMO about Bastard in Japan in the works ( very very good manga by the way ) There also annonce a Stargate MMO in the works now.
Any review of a game in beta stage is like making a review of a car while its still on the manufacturing chain, with only half the parts install. Why dont you wait for Retail, play the free month and also may I suggest playing more than a mere 5 hours to judge a game. But maybe after the style of the game is not for you at all but that is only consern you. Other out there may actualy want and like that game for what it is. Ive seen alot worse out there, you want bad MMO go look at Dark and Light.
I like to see you post a bad review the official korean forum over there and see what you get there since that game been retail for over a year there and from what I gather million are still playing it over there.
I really liked this game so far, but of course it still has issues that will hopefully get worked out before retail.
I guess we will have to wait and see.
I am creating a new rule for myself when it comes to playing MMORPGs. I am simply going to ask myself "Would I like their food?" I think that will keep me good and centered here in the US because I definitely dont like what they are serving in Korea or France.

That's just the thing. If the game has mechanical problems like killstealing, they WON'T get fixed. First of all, Codemasters doesn't have the rights to modify the game code AT ALL. All they can do is localize the game. This also includes the ability to adjust balance, but that doesn't include modifying any code. Any major changes are going to have to be done by CCR. This game has been out for two years in Korea. If they haven't fixed things like KSing already, what makes you think CCR is going to fix them now?

Honestly the ppl on this site are retarded. Wtf do you expect? Its a mmorpg, if you play it 3hrs youre NOT going to enjoy it. The PvE in this game is nothing special.... everyone knows that, its a means to an end. If you get to lvl 30+ where you start to differentiate your character youll start to see exactly why the PvP is so good. Its like fighting a massive battle where you can have an influence on the result by using your char wisely but not so much that 1 man armies dominate. Honestly, its probably the best large scale PvP ive ever played if you know what your doing.
90% of the ppl who complain about this game are just saying "its not wow". Just get over it, not everyone likes wow, wants 1 on 1 pvp or wants to be max lvl in a month.
This game is certainly not for everyone, but if you have patience, are willing to put some time in before you get much out and have a PvP/team based focus youll love it.

Don't hate on GW. It's not really an MMO, and you're clearly not in its target audience, which was casual gamers and groups of friends, at least as far as the PvE side was concerned.. Plus, you probably didn't get hardcore in to GvG PvP, which was a HUGE part of the game. You missed half the content.

3. calling rf online a rpg is an insult to any serious rpg existing.
4. there are mmo's with big scale pvp that are fun from level 1 onward.

I like this game. I am only lvl 14 but I have had fun thus far. This is much better than GW (IMO) and I soon tired of WoW. This will keep me occupied for a few months yet.
My advice is try it, you will either love it or hate it.

I know many of you like this game but alot of what your saying is nonsense. Saying WOW and GW are bad games and shallow. WOW is the most sucessfull mmo ever worldwide. As far as GW goes the pve side may be shallow but has some the best pvp with over 600 skills and is a mmo(massive multiplayer online game) altho it dosent follow the traditional mmo path its also free no monthly fees. While im on the topic of shallow you can make it to lvl 30 in 3-4 days in RF not 3-4 days play time but 3-4 days playing it and and can get to max lvl in a month. It also has limited skills ,armor and weapon choices.
Dont flame outher games and not expect to get put in your place.
