Remove faction from lfg

I never been a fan of MMOS with factions that you choose when you start. I prefer people create there own politics in forms of guild territory control etc.

factions are just taking away of the experience of bein open world game. Where we the player have overall control of how the game should be played. This can bring more satisfaction then dividing people into faction.

At least remove it from LFG tool....

Also remove the set factions from PvP..

make PvP a game about player factions,  that fight the world on top of the 3 NPC factions.....  And add a political function, so guilds can team up in player factions, and factions can make and break treaties...

next to 3 faction PvE, als 3 faction PvP was a bad idea, that can be undone

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Just dropping my two cents in.

I actually prefer fixed/set factions over player made sandboxes. I have little to no interest in going into that player run mass guild/warfare drama myself, I like fixed scenarios and skirmishes, though, I do believe that changing faction should be allowed.

On the other side of the coin, I find set factions often too restricting. ESO is a perfect example. We should have free guesting so we could go to another faction's zones, to be able to play PVE with our friends. Do you need an acceptable reason from a lore standpoing? Diplomatic missions, whatever, dosn't matter. - Maybe I am getting old? I love my RPGs hardcore, but I like my MMOs with freedom.

We?re all dead, just say it.

Having no set faction would not get rid of small skirmishes. Set faction is like someone choosing how and with who you will be playing with. I think you should be free to play with who ever and maybe depending on who u kills or what quests uvtake will block your of other quest having to do with lore or what not. I can from a hardcore open world full loot sandbox game. Which factions and politics were all player driven and believe me there were plenty small fights and skirmishes but people spread out and went to where they wanted yet always being able to change clans or guilds or what ever. Sometime people frfroenemy clans would group and quest

There are games out there with the feature you want.

But you chose to play a game that doesn't have that feature.

You chose to come here to qq that the game needs to change because you made a bad choice.

Also what I love is that for the first time in a while actually want to take it slow and explore that's something I haven't seen in an mmo in a while. I would love to enjoy playing slow with other but I feel factions cuts the population and that why it'd still hard to find groups with the group tool. Exploration is well done but could be better with the removable of levels entriley and keeping skill levels and stat points haveing to do morebeith chrmsracter development. Imagine the freedom of going into any zone anytime getting quest and being rewarded for exploration! Because it'd getting old playing in a zone until a certain level then going to the next one and so on until the end content. The whole world should be end content and rewarding 're exploration. There should be tough mobs and not so tough mobs in each zone so each and every zone is always populated with people wanting to group for different reasons.

There are good arguments on either side of the fence.

When someone figures out the best system....  You guys just let me know.

edit: The biggest flaw to the system in ESO for me, is not having a true open world and fencing off the factions from each other.
