I think you misunderstoud his point a bit. It's a game like 90%+ of the MMO's out there. Items, Xp - repeat. If you like that, go ahead - its great if that is exactly the kind of game you want. It's a typicall grinding game with not really a new concept like you try to tell us.

this game looks really good too mee, but what the hell is grinding? lol, im a nooob at mmorpgs, i got bored of cs and found RF online, it looks pretty fun ! i can play wow and stuff, but i dont really like it as much.

Ive played RF Online alot and to be honest, it's not that good.
WoW, DaoC and EVE is better than RF Online... To name a few.
And "omg machineguns, sick!" You must be easily entertained, try to build an objective view of games and how do you even figure that this thread belong in the rumour section?
I recon that you're rather young, easily entertained and pleased by mediocre things so no flames intentended.
RF is going to be the biggest flop ever more like, sure it will sell half decent for an mmorpg but i bet they lose half their subscribers after a few months because of the lack of variety in endgame and you can't go make an alt because you will have exactly the same moves apart from a few unique class moves later on GG.
I think everyone who says the graphics look cool, need to rephrase it and say the robots/mechs/weapons look cool. Because if you think the graphics are good, you need to play some of the latest games out because i personally think the graphics are very outdated.

Bigest line of BS i have heard. Have you played. I am and have been playing and i can say that rf is great. The Graphics are stunning and the servers are the best I have ever seen. I play on a sat connection so i have a hard time playing and lag is somthing I have gotten use too. In RF I have no lag at all. I can party mine and pvp without a prob. The grind is not noticeable at all. Unlike l2 it moves pretty fast not to mention that the way you level skills is very nice and does not keep you looking at the XP bar. Codemaster are the key to this game thus far. There team keeps you up to date and will answer your qustions without being an ass about it. The community is also a great selling factor as most that i have meet are more then willing to help you out.
Yes right now a few things are not working but what would you expect it is phase 2 of beta. I highly doubt they will final release it with a few weapons not working and language problems. I would advise anyone reading this to not take anyones word and just try it out and see for your self. Unlike what a few people say this is nothing like L2 or WoW. It is not a grind fest. in 3 days I went from 0 to 25 witch is half of the max level. and yes i have a balance in my pt.

I have played the game and i'm suprised that if you was apart of the CM forums, that you don't recognise my name as i have been faily active these last few weeks. The fact is, this is a straight port just about and feels very cheaply done. You say it's because of it being in beta, well the game is going to be released in the shops at the end of the month, this is basically a final beta and i wouldn't expect anything ground breaking in it.
Also in your three days of playing, what new skills have you got? None, exactly.. it's a case of using the the one skil for each weapon every 30 seconds and using the standard attack. It really isn't that much fun IMO.
Also what variety do you have in the game come 50? Chip wars, that is about it and yeah i bet it will be fun fighting the exact same classes everytime or in terms of fighting Bellato, fighting two different mechs x 500 constantly.
The game itself actually has potential but the lack of depth to it, will be it's undoing and as i predicted, will lose the majority of subscribers within a few months of release due to the lack of endgame content and i would imagine, decent updates added to it.
Ofcourse, this is my opinion and if you enjoy the game, good on ya and i wish you many a happy month playing it.
RF ONLINE - is pure "GRIND FEAST" trust me...its all about PT lvling and the pvp will restrict you to Chip War and Raiding + doing 1 on 1 is next to impossible to kill your opponent bec. of the pots power issue or uber use of healing potion. If your a mature online gamer RF will not make you happy....i repeat its another game with fair to good graphics but lacks content and gameplay. Its the worst and most grinding game you'll ever play.... I tried playing RF.PH beta.

No offense in any way, it is your opinion and i respect that. I'm no fan of those 'grind-party-leet-dewdz' games aswell. Basically they all are the same concept - so is WoW. That alrdy lost many subscribers due the exactly from you mentioned 'lack of endgame'. Sure it still has the most subscribers of all MMOG's, since its basically aiming anyway towards the main field of gamers - peeps in the age of 10-18. But you're talking about the lack in endgame content - and play WoW - and i really can't understand that. If you'Re so focused on 'endgame' why you play WoW then? :P Sure you'll maybe say now 'wth is this guy talking about he has no clue..' - but i bet in a few months more you'll think different, 1k bucks on that. I played Anarchy Online over 3 years. DAOC over 2 years And now im into EVE online, that has no so called 'endgame' at all (what is perfect). Everyone i know has quit WoW alrdy after having several max level chars and realise that it is only about items since the pvp in WoW is pathetic. Just give it a bit, then come up with 'endgame' content again - since WoW has - exactly - not really one except getting you items and thats it. Big deal
RF Online for me would just flourish for about 2-3 months but when many of them realized that this is just another way to waste so much time for a low depth game with no room for freedom like EVE then many of those subscribers will just have to switch to another quality game.

ROFL... lots of ppl flaming, who cares? let people try the game for themselves, maybe ppl like that king of game, and besides, a little bit of grinding is good, if it comes to easy to often, it just gets boring, i been playing MMOs along time, mostly Anarchy Online (4 years and still counting) i mean, come on, what game (besides very few) you dont go out and kill to gain exp? what, do u want to jsut sit, and POOF! the exp is there?......
