Saw that despite this game having aiming, you have the option of tab targeting a never missing, meaning this game is made for skill-less players that don't want competitive pvp.
Could have been the best sandbox game, but with having autoaim tab targeting as an option competitive games will wait for something else.
I use to think like this. I wanted all my games to require skill that way i know when somebody is better than me. I didnt want to lose because of gear or a couple levels i wanted to lose because that other player is just better so i can try to get better myself and beat him one day.
Then i realized that was just a fantasy that would never happen, because anytime there is shooting in a game there is aim bots a plenty. so to me auto aim keeps it even.

It's called Planetside 2 and it's freaking AWESOME!
I'm not uber leet and want the game to be an esport, but I do enjoy FPS style combat more than RPG combat BECAUSE, FPS combat is faster, and seems more realistic. I'm not a fan of combat that takes minutes to kill one mob using a set of skills numbering in the 20s. So, I can appreciate the meld of an FPS style combat into an MMO game with a quality set of RPG non-combat features.
Something along the lines of combat in Mass Effect 2 and 3, but in a persistent world, with crafting and other RPG features. That is what I am hoping that Repopulation can be. I sort of found that in STO, with its optional FPS or RPG combat, but the skills still numbered in the teens for ground combat and in the 20s for space combat, with battles in both taking a long time. I'm hoping the repop has a bit more of an FPS feel to combat for those that want that. Not that I am against an RPG style auto-target feature being available, but I hope the FPS style is still competitive for combat. That is NOT the case in STO.
Above all else... never ever piss off the penguin.
