Happy new year, everyone! It’s hard to believe that it’s already 2015 and that World of Warcraft is entering its eleventh year! There’s many things to look forward to this year, the planned content patches for Warlords and the possibility of the next expansion being announced. While I don’t have high expectations for a new expansion announcement, Blizzard has been strongly suggesting that the development time of future content has been substantially reduced and that work on the follow up to Warlords is well under way.

They've been saying that for years now and still crawl at a snail's pace. I doubt this will ever change.. too big of a juggernaut, too slow to do anything in a timely manner.
This. This is the what...third time they've said that? I'll believe it when I see it.
And as for WoD post-launch content being well under way, I should bloody well hope so. They had 14 uninterrupted months to work on WoD and the post-launch patches, so they'd better have them all almost freaking finished and queued up to go live. If not, then they really were spending too much time swimming in their piles of money and drinking in their gold yacht.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
You gladly get reminded each month that you need to pay $15 instead of paying any amount of your chosing - or nothing at all? Yep, certainly preferable.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
No timetable for this feature was announced in the post and the big question of how much will the token cost and how much game-time will it buy were also left out. I personally think adding this feature to the game would great. I’m having a hard time thinking of any reasons how this could potentially hurt the game. From a business standpoint this feature would help retain customers as it provides a way to essentially play the game for free should you be wealthy enough in-game. It also provides a safe and legit way to purchase gold should you need any in a hurry.
That's like half the game. Making your way in the world figuring out how to make gold. It's like a major part of the rpg on mmoRPG. I mean that's why there are these things called professions. Now all you are left with is gear grind. Oh wait you can buy that with the gold. Well I guess there will still be achievements grinds and rep grinds...
Legally buying gold in WoW. I thought I would never see the day.
Dude, the economy in WoW is in total shambles because of the rampant inflation due to the total lack of gold sinks within the game and the ease with which one can earn gold.
Gold hasn't been a meaningful currency in the game for many expansions now.
I approached level 100 on my Moonkin and although I loved the questing experience. The Garrison aspect that I loved at first felt more and more like a drain to me. Love the lore, the new animations, the lack of flying. But I don't enjoy playing the Garrison micro-management system.
Not overly happy with my main my eyes drifted towards perhaps focusing on a alt. But the Garrison killed the fun in that too. I do not really like one Garrison, so I do not want two of them. It also made the game feel more like a single player game.
Then they made professions useless. Added even bigger gold sinks. Players want to be even less social now and work together. I could go on and on.
I was really looking forward to this expansion. Convinced it would be the best, but that all went away almost at level cap. Thanks to the direction they wanted to take in the game.I played through Cata, I played through Pandafriendsland. I made it enough though I wasn't a huge fan. But WoD probably killed any chance of me ever playing WoW again.
Any new expansion that would interest me, would mean I'd have to level alts through WoD again (have no problem going through older stuff) and I won't pay for a boost that costs 60 dollars. It would take a Wrath like expansion with focus on the reforming of the ebon blade to make me even think about returning.
WoD is good, Garrisons are great and prommmising more..... add garrisons in a PvP option... And expand them... Add more customisation and differentation both to the buildings as the interrior as well as to the followers..
