I played as an F2P player for a bit, my first time playing it for real ( before when it launched i got to like level 10 and quit for some reason). It was nice not having many restrictions, based on what the restrictions say they used to be it seems a lot better. I liked it quite a bit but the issue in my opinion was the sheer amount of skills I needed to have on my bar. I felt like I filled up 3 entire skill bars by level 30 on my Paladin and it just got overwhelming. Weird reason to leave a game I think but honestly I don't think I've ever had that many skills, even in old wow when I had 5 action bars a majority of them were items I would use occasionally.

Wife and I leveled to 90 and had a blast, everyone was friendly, the game is so polished with really deep classes. Lots to do and see. Our only problem was when we got to top level, like any game thats been out a long time, players had their rut. Trying to get into teaming with people who have had the same 15 people they like to play with was not fun. All we wanted to do was join a team doing anything and the new people just didnt fit lol. Dont regret our time there and would still be playing if not for the cliques.

Me and my gf just got back into Eq2 after a year away. I always love the sense of how much there is to the game. Skills are way deeper then most games youll find out there and micromanaging your skill growth is a welcome pleasure, compared to the dull grind I find in most mmorpgs out there these days. Charming graphics, deep lore, great communities and good rp. Not much I could say bad about the game.
