A source at another Australian retail franchise, Harvey Norman, told the publication that that all game cards and copies were pulled out of Harvey Norman, and the ONLY reason that would happen is because it has become a free product. The source added they had seen the clearouts paperwork confirmation and that if it was being brought out in a different format, itd have a price drop, not a recall."
It's happening!

I can't tell if this is satire or not.
Good to read the thoughts of another article and it's comment section, though.
Funny how all this stuff is coming from Australia. Did someone forget to tell me that they are now the center of the MMO universe?
Why aren't we getting similar reports from NA & Europe? Maybe Australia somehow got on ZOS' bad side and they're perma-banning the whole country.
I think my rumor fits the facts better,
Meanwhile back in Canada, Bestbuy is happily continuing to sell boxes online and all the stores in my area have them in stock: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/the-elder-scrolls-online-pc-mac/10206003.aspx?path=70fafac87d7f4de3a02c031247ac012den02

it seems like the paid beta is finally over then.
So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.
**On the radar: http://www.cyberpunk.net/ **
Lol, yeah, I was wondering the same thing. If everybody in Oz stopped playing ESO tomorrow, I doubt ZOS would even notice the fact. It's a TINY market...
Oh really? I guess the rest of us don't have any of them there consumer laws lol... what horseshit.

Maybe the Aussies decided they were offended by some of its content?
Unless I'm mistaken this is the country that's banned tons of game titles before, isn't it?
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Same. Patiently waiting for it...
I'd rather have B2P though.
Not as good as ours buddy - we got cash refunds for cancelling you guys signed away your right to a refund because your consumer laws allow companies to do that to you.
I got my full refund two weeks after release.
Rest assured, the console versions of ESO will be sold as full-price console games, regardless of what the subsequent monetization schemes would be...
Yours are better than Canada's? How? Got a link to back up your silly boast?

And someone else ignores the fact that it was EB games that issued the recall and ignores the statement that EB games made in regards to this being part of their over stock recall, considering Destiny as well as a few other games were on that list as well. Its awesome though how these "gaming news sites" are like the National Inquirer you read them now and wonder if the writer has a tin foil hat.
Here, let me quote it for you:

Got a full refund on the last week of the sub end, via third party and still got my account (EU)
Maybe im gonna try it agan when its f2p
Being that I have lived in canada for 40 years out of 41 I can testify to the fact that in canada often stuff is sold up to the day before it becomes free.
Bestbuy... lol
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
I just cant see it going F2P yet. They will not release it as a free product on console, that would just be a silly business move. So free on PC only?
That's entirely possible but links to bestbuy or stores down under don't mean f. all in the grand scheme of things, these guys are just trolling.
I look forward to it going f2p so I can give it a spin but don't care really if that happens now in in 2 years.

Well no matter your thoughts, just watch the video ...Naomi hot.
IGN is the biggest gaming site in the world,so they are on top of more than just Australia.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
No link mate.
I've been getting reports that stores in the UK, Germany and France are removing copies. Not just one outlet, but multiple stores. In addition, the statement made by EB Games seems to fool a lot of people. It is a part of the Holiday returns, but the real story of the matter is that ESO is the only one where every copy is being sent back, whereas Destiny and others -- who are also a part of such -- still have a presence. This is where people are coming from and starting rumors as if they are fact (which they are not until an announcement is made).
We'll likely hear something by Pax or nothing at all. Either way, the gaming world moves on.
Why is it an issue only when posts are against and not in favor of MMOS?
