Heroes might not be locked behind a paywall but they are damn expensive. I get 30 gold for a win and a hero is between 2k (the cheapest 2).7k and 10k. 200-300 games for 1 hero seems a bit much imho
you are inducing ppl that dont play into thinking that they will have a hard time buying heroes. you forgot to mention they get daily quests that give the minimum of 200 gold not mentioning that the first lvls they are rewarded with a lot of gold
You get a total of 6k from player levels. 500gold for reaching lvl 5 with a hero (each hero) which makes them more or less 500gold cheaper, 9500 instead of 10k.. yay! You get ONE daily per day so it is comparable to the first win a day in lol.
After reaching lvl 10 (the6k) and having heroes at lvl 5 the grind seems like quite a lot because it comes down to 200 games (wins 30g, loss 20g) or doing daylies for 2-3 weeks. Sure you get the first 1-2 heroes quickly after 20-30 games but then it takes a bit. My hope is they introduce some more 2k or 4k heroes because right now most are 7k or 10k. Yes you could ofc buy them but 4-10€ seems a bit much for a hero (buying all currently available is about €250).

Though the skins are over priced no hero is locked behind a forced pay wall and you cant pay for power it's all cosmetic, for a F2P game I see no issue with that. LoL does the same and Dota2 makes their money from cosmetic hats and fluff the community creates and sells. If anything Dota2 milks more as Valve creates very little yet reap a percentage of any item sold.

The daily rewards aren't anything special. Pretty much every MOBA works this way, and some even have multiple daily rewards that dramatically increase the bonus currency you get per-day.
The difference is that in most other games neither the heroes, nor the skins are as expensive. It is Blizzard though, so I'm sure people will buy them anyway.

Yeap.. that is somewhat the problem.. similar to LoL. I would prefer they would go the DotA2 way and just sell skins. Because your possible selection of available hereos influence gameplay.. shiny skins not.
But yeah.. ppl will throw a lot more and a lot easier money to get some champions..

you also get 500 per hero for getting it to lvl 5(including free rotation heros), 3000 gold from getting your personal level to lvl 16ish, and dailys the go from 300-800.
i played in the alpha and this beta....at first i didnt really like the game, but it has since grown on me. basically comes down to if you like objective based pvp and team fights you'll like it. if you like laning and being a solo hyper carry....you probably wont like the game.
one thing i dont like about the game is alot of the operational features like statistic and the report button are hidden in the UI and they dont give you a detailed list of the hotkeys for these features.
The only con i have on the game is the clear favoritism towards warcraft, 18 heroes no less. folowed by SC 9, and last Diablo with 6. Almost forgot the 2 new aditions! silvanas and the dwarfs, that makes 20.
The items and lane play in current MOBA's were pretty important. If you didn't want to learn the correct items to purchase or you didn't want to develop the skills used to deny and last hit more creeps than the other team, you could still have fun in LoL/DoTA2...you just wouldn't be competitive.
It's not HARD to learn what correct items to purchase or how to deny/last hit effectively... just takes the will and want to practice it. Still, that simple part of the game separated a TON of the player base.
This game shaves off the parts people didn't really want to learn to be good and does what Blizzard does best... uses the same Warcraft art style and WoW streamlining techniques.
Good? Bad? Doesn't matter really. Old school DOTA players, DOTA 2, HoN players will probably not like the direction. Thankfully DOTA 2 already came out and still is pretty new. It's really the same scenario as WoW was just for MOBAs except we don't have an old school style MMO out yet with Blizzard polish.
I think this will battle for LoL population more than DOTA 2 population. Which is hilarious considering how blizzard denied the DOTA guy from making DOTA 2 under them ...haha.

If you want balanced MOBA you should play this game.
The game is decided by teamfight not a team that farm better.
The comeback mechanics is wonderful in heroes.
Well written speak to my hear about this game http://www.heroesofthestormsource.com/gameplay/heroes-of-the-storm-balanced-moba-youre-looking-for/
