More Newbie Questions :)

Heya everyone :)

Day three in DAoC and loving it!!  I've even attracted 3 friends from other MMO's to try it out.  I do have a few questions and hope some of you more seasoned players can answer them:

1. I know basically about the different server types.  Right now, we're playing on the co-op server because none of us are really into deep PvP, but the RvR looks quite interesting.  I'm wondering if it's the right choice because I read somewhere that ToA is only available on a certain server and I don't want to miss out on content because I'm on a co-op server.  Can someone please elaborate on what's available on what server?

2.  How can I delete something from my inventory?  Being that I'm on the trial at the moment, I don't really have a manual to refer to.

3. I think I'm going to subscribe and looked at the expansion packs.  I know that I have to purchase Catacombs and Darkness and both of them can be purchased from Mythic for $29.99, but I did see that EBGames has the Epic version (all exp packs) for sale for $19.99.  Is that the best way to go?  Can I just install the CD's and continue my account?

4. I know you can /respec in game... but I'm not sure how/where/when.  Does it cost in game money to respec or do you get them at certain levels? Also, does /respec allow you to redistribute your training points?

Thanks for any help with these questions.  It's amazing that I never found DAoC before.  I thought it was completely RvR with PvP and no PvE at all... wow, was I surprised!

    1) Co-Op servers are the same as 'normal' servers and have all content enabled.  Only difference is that there is no PVP at all.  If you have any interest in RVR, however, I highly recommend playing on a normal server cluster.  You really don't lose anything other than you can't play together in different realms and you still have access to all the same PVE content (albeit only the content of your chosen realm).   So you won't miss any content other than RVR on a co-op.  And on a normal the only content you miss is the two realms you can't go to :)

    2) Click the item with your mouse and hit CTRL-DEL

    3) Best bet is to find the Epic edition.  It includes all the expansions and you can get it from wal-mart for $29 and includes 30 days of free play.

    4) You get a FREE /respec all at level 5 when you choose your class.  At level 20 and 40 you get a free SINGLE LINE /respec (like /respec crush).  I think you get a single line at 50 as well but not sure on that... it's been a while since I dinged 50 ;)  At any time you can /respec BUY to buy a single line respec as well though they get more expensive as you go up in level and the more you buy the more expensive they get (incrementally).  Also you can find items in game called 'respec stones' that allow single line and the more rare ones allow full respecs.

    Hope this helps!

Co-Op actually has the most content of any server in terms of PvE. You can go to all three realms. You can do ToA there as well. So as long as you are liking the server and have no desire to kill another player then it is most likely the server for you.

I will say that people often day they do not want to do any type of PvP, but once they try RvR in DAOC they tend to enjoy it and keep playing.

If you find that you want more people to play with then go to the regular servers. You do not have to RvR. You can spend the whole time doing PvE. You just won't be able to do PvE in the enemy realms.

FYI Epic edition sells at Gamestop for $19.99.   What a great deal.
