Tempted to play this, as I've never really played MOBAs before... So it would be casual enough for me.
But then again, I am scared of what the WoW community can be like.

I wouldn't worry too much. I have alpha on 2 accounts and overall the community is pretty good. Since it's competitive sometimes that rare person will have a fit. But between the lack of items and the fact that you pick what you want to play and just play there is not much rage. Also that makes it pretty welcoming to newer people.
Like in league people will throw a temper tantrum before the game even starts because they didn't get the role/char they wanted. Don't need to deal with that in Hots.
Overall it's worth playing, I really enjoy it. If I had a complaint it would be not deep enough and not enough characters, but considering it's just entering beta...it's doing quite well so far with new characters incoming too.
They got rid of a lot of things that inspire childish behavior, such as "kills". Now all the ten year olds from LoL have no more reason to scream "OMG KILLSTEAL!!!" in a team based game. :P

If nothing else watch the trailer... it is adorable.
This game looks really fun but i like smite more for it "hands-on" approach and 3PV. Will pick up OverWatch (or what ever it´s name will be) once it get it´s own founders pack in a year or so.
Still it is a good deal and as far as i have heard the game plays really well. It also looked fun as heck at Blizzcon.

If it walks like a duck and it looks like a duck, it's a duck.Like seriously, this is a blatant rip off on top of that. The things you're getting with that founders pack are NOT good that seems like a 18 dollar pack to me. 2500 gold won't get you half of a hero in most cases. The epic mount isn't so epic if everyone is going to have it so I don't like the wording there, though I know it's a ode to the usual WoW terminology, but all of this on top of I don't like any of those 3 chars and there are MILLIONS of player in the alpha?

but they will rage spit curse and scream at you for not helping with objectives, pushing, defending, or contributing in the stupid endless teamfights. Especially since the game is designed AGAINST skilled players being able to carry a game, they have all the more reason to be upset at percieved teammates not carrying their weight.

I'll support Blizzard until the end of time but I to cant believe they stooped to the old trick if selling Beta Access and for $40 too... HoTS is a good game though and you should all play it.
I think one of the three heroes is spelled wrong ,i think it is suppose to be Reynad :P
The Epic mount is suppose to be Legendary L## :P

People fixate on this "Founder' Pack" thing way too much.
If it was just another game it'd simply be called a Pre-order with beta access. Which is an ancient concept by now.
The only reason it's called a Founder's pack is because the game is free, and thus doesn't have any pre-orders. I'm glad to see that there are no monster packs of $150-400 like so many are doing these days.
