Tomorrow! Final Fantasy XI! xD

in Final Fantasy XI

Tomorrow, I'll get it home + two expansionsets. Only costed me £7 ^^.

Stil deciding what to play.
It's a though choice, either Hume -Male- or Mithra.
Playing a character you can identify yourself with or to see most likely a cute / sexy butt xP
Also, classes. Red Mage / Summoner / White Mage / Dragoon. Most likely is Red Mage since it was my personal favorite from the Old game, and stil my favorite in the remake to GBA ^^
But then, Mithra looks soo kawaii in the White Mage cowl :D

Anyway, I'll be playing on the EU-servers since I live in Sweden.
So can anyone who play on EU-servers tip me on a good server that has many Roleplayers in it with "Good" names that doesn't consist of one-big word "lollorofladinas" to often for example :P

Well, that pretty much concludes what I wanted to say.

PS:
Does anyone have a good movie with a Mithra walking, fightning and such so I can see how they looks like?
Would be good with Hume as well ^^ but I've downloaded a couple of movies that are, basically Human PoV so I somewhat know most of those.

    As I said, Titan has RPers guild, also Mithra Redmage is a great choice, I really enjoy playing a RDM and at higher levels it "pwns". Humes are also great Redmages. Good thing about Humes and Mithras is that they ar good with any class.  Just PM me when you get the game I'll give you a worldpass and a Linkpearl to our RP Linkshell.

    Already have the game now :D Got it yesterday.
    Took me total of 5h install because of downloading updates, GM Call since my password didn't work so I had to talk to two diffrent GMs. Well, you get the pointl. Also, the graphics is... Well I didn't expect it to be the prettiest but from others movies I've downloaded from killingifrit.com, it's WAY much better then mine. The odd part is that I have turned on the best graphics I can and it stil looks like that? :S

    Yeah, the first Mitrha however I made yesterday kinda looked.. Not what I expected :P
    The annoying thing with the FFXI character creation is that they show you a character that doesn't look the same in Game.

    I like Face 6 and hair B, but ingame it looks wierd while 6a I also likes looks good.
    Also, Face 1a/b doesn't look bad either, but I have a feeling that her "pink hair" will be more red ingame xP
    But I belive my final character will be 6B / 6A anyway, made 3 diffrent Mithra's the first day just because of this -.-
    Meaning I also needs to come up with a thrid Mithra name now.. Heh.. :P

    Then I also learned that, switching job at the beginning isn't good either since it leaves you unarmed <.<
    So far tried White Mage & Red Mage, I liked the Docks where I started.
    And sure, I could use a good Linkshell and a tour around the city since it took me about 20-30 min to find the first shop.. Which was the wrong as well <.<
    But, Red Mage is what I liked from the old Final Fantasy games most :) So I belive I'll continually be that as my main-job.

    But the game is nice :)
    I like it, just hard to get into the controls. I like to run and while I run I like to look around me.. I cannot do that without having to continually change the runkeys T_T
    BUt as I said, I liked it. And I also liked the 'Ferrie' which looked like an enourmous Hovercraft :P
    PLEASE! Tell me one travel takes 5min + and not instant or to fast like in WoW.
    I want long boat-journeys!! <(^.^)>

    Hansuke I'll get you a wolrd-pass today, that means that you'll have to create you character AGAIN       -_- the wolrd pass lets you create character in other severs not transefer them so, teh good thing is you'll start with help and some money that I'll give you.

    Hi!
    Like Hansuke was I'm also about to purchase FFXI!
    I'm attracted to it because a number of things, mainly;

    • the Final Fantasy setting
    • the Job feature
    • Graphics
    • the player base seems nice and polite, as seen on this thread
    • the Story

    I don't mind spending time getting my character better as long as I'm having fun in the process.
    The main thing that puts me off is the RMT which seems to have made a huge impact over the economy.
    Also, will I choose a good server (another EU player from Sweden).
    So what do you think, should I go with it? And Hansuke, how's FFXI treating you so far?

    Good Morning,

    There are just a bunch of servers and you get randomly stuck in one I'm afraid, but if people are kind enough of this forum you can buy people world passes so player's accounts can move to another server.

    Square Enix has recently made some changes to the game so RMT is actually being delt with quite well I say. Cause alot of the items and equipment prices are dropping now, so that means it must be working.
