Going B2P and Console launch date

Well, the rumours were right. ESO is going B2P on 17.3.2015. It will launch on consoles on 9.6.2015.

    I think alot of people owe some other people, atleast a small sorry. Im deleting the game my self, but good luck to the new b2p, p2w, greed shop.

    Sorry. He got it wrong. He picked the wrong week. This puts him in the same group as everyone else that has predicted this since day 1.

     

    I also notice that they are going to have DLC + Cash (Crown) Shop.

    No one believed it would go B2P... I didn't see anybody disputing the date.

    As someone pointed out in another thread, it's a bit unethical for him to be tossing out insider information without the source's approval.   If he really did receive the approval from this "source", what's the issue with naming the source?  Otherwise the "source" is most likely breaking an NDA and Kano is using this info to inflate his ego on these boards.

    I called this when they first announced P2P model and launching on PC first. I knew the moment they launched on console they would switch to B2P. IMO this is really shady and just milked the PC gamers for a quick cash grab till they were ready for consoles. Smart move for them to maximize there profits. I can totally see why they did it this way.

    Seriously,you needed sources,was it not like super obvious?I did not need his post i already made up my mind before that,it was very obvious.

    As for the game itself,doesn't matter to me,it's not going to get me to play either way it went.However when comes to the developer that is a different story,they were not just trying to mislead people but out right lie and that i don't like.

    Obviously i can't have any feelings against the game it is an inanimate piece of software however the people in charge of community and media for this developer need to be fired because they did a piss poor job of lying.

    So now i have NCSOFT,SOE,Frogster and EA i guess is in charge as the worst developers/publishers going .

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    I agree, I believe they planned this to maximize their profits.  I posted this same idea on the other thread.  I'm sure they knew they couldn't launch a console game and require a subscription.  It would have killed their sales.

    I totally agree!!! Glad I waited to buy a copy. With the fixes I may buy a copy when it goes B2P. Depends on the P2W factor. I hope they keep it fair like GW2 did with their cash shop.

    It is amusing that the fans kept talking about the growing number of players and how this game was really doing well in spite of Zenimax's silence. Well now we see the truth and why they were quiet. They were milking the PC players. Business I guess.

    Then he shouldn't say anything at all. At best, this was some ego-inflating exercise. At worst, rumor mongering. I'm not saying it's right to insult him, but it's right for him to either offer proof or shut up. This one time someone was right. How many other incidences do we have of people predicting the doom and gloom, citing some shadow figure full of inside information?
