I would have to say it was one of the times that I reactivated my account after a long deployment overseas. It was like coming home and putting on your favorite pair of comfy pants.
Going to BC and starting to quest. Having my screen shake and a strange sound...
Wonder what was going on and BOOOM get a huge boot to the head and am on the ground dead.
That huge Fel Reaver that patrols around was such a shock the first time it whacked me. Was both ticked off, and awed by the sounds and ground shaking thing.
Was also the first mob i put on my hit list. I went back, when i was big enough and wasted that big pile of metal:P
I was a late starter, only getting into WoW just as Cata hit, so my favorite memory is a little belated, but it was when I got into a group doing ICC 25 Heroic, and getting down Litch king with some just turned 85 pre-raid gear characters, i can feel for the people who did it at 80, also, the rush from that kill, because very few people could actually do the fight correctly (on our server at least)
I have very fond memories of Friday night raiding.
My guild used to run FNDR which was Friday night Drunken Raids. We would always start off by going to Tarren Mill and seeing how many people we could pull into pvp by attacking Southshore. Would usually last anywhere from an hour to a few hours and by this point most of the guild had a good buzz going if they weren't drunk already.
From there we moved into MC to start clearing. I played a hunter and was always pulling. Everytime I died I would take a drink, everytime someone slurred my characters name in vent they took a drink. If the MT died they took a drink. Many a fun raid night was spent wiping horribly because someone wanted to see how drunk they could make the tank or myself so they wouldn't heal us.
I still wouldn't trade those Saturday morning hangovers for anything. Those were some awesome memories.
Killing Hogger for the first time when WoW first released. At the time I didn't realize the significance, but look at the Legend that Hogger has turned into.
Best memory was when we killed Lich King, we were the second guild on our european server to do so, I was the MT1 as a dwarf paladin.... By Muradiiiiin's Haaaammeeeeer !
Easily the best for me was just after the fiasco of initial login issues and general launch problems. I had finally managed to log in and started up playing. Met a couple (husband and wife) just roaming around the start areas, asked if I wanted to join a group to just hang with so I did. Best time as I still to this day chat with them and have become very good friends with them. Our kids now talk on a Mumble server we set up and they play Minecraft together and we still occasionally game in various MMOs and such. Not a specific Warcraft moment but one that is definatley a best memory as I have life long friends and my kids do as well because of it.
I'd spotted a rare hunter pet my brother wanted, but he was on another continent. So I told him, and then tagged it with a minor spell so someone else couldn't snag it from us. It took him a while to arrive, so I had to use a lot of abilities to keep myself alive while avoiding killing it.
He finally arrived and started taming it when some griefers showed up. Seeing that someone was already taming it, they tried to kill it. Just as their spell was about to hit it, he finished taming.
They were totally pissed that their attempted griefing was spoiled by being a few milliseconds to slow on the attack! They whined and ranted about it for at least 10 minutes before we put them on /ignore. Our guilds thought it was hilarious.
When I met my actual wife, the first day we met we spent the whole night playing together in Kalimdor and was the start of a wonderful relationship that lead to our marriage and start of a new life<3
It will show my age, but my favorite memory was running Wailing Caverns with my two sons and Grandson. It just was a cool feeling to have 3 generations of gamers playing together. Hopefully I will live long enough for a fourth! I know there should be some magic achievement, or epic PvP battle moment that highlites my 10+ years of World of Warcraft gaming, but sometimes it's as simple as this.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Meeting my now hubby in WoW. I belonged to one guild and he belonged to another. The guilds started a co-op thing so we could get through raids since neither guild had enough players. I started running dungeons with the other guild and going in their vent I heard this wonderful accent coming on there. It was love at first hear. Found out he lived in Quebec. I moved up there to be with him and we have been together now for 4 years and have a 2 year old as well
After wiping on ragnaros we where getting set to go again.
Buffing, eating food etc. And one of our hunters dropped his keyboard while having raggy targeted. In wich turn an autoattack went off and raggy got a little angry before everyone was ready:P
So off course we pretty much instantly wiped and had to rez and rebuff again:P
It was about 8 years ago... The new year had just come. I was ready to start the year with some time playing WOW.
I log into my account and load up my main toon, only to find he was naked and empty of all gear, money etc. After spending several days playing email tag with blizzard. I decided it was time to move on.
That was my fondest memory of WOW, because it allowed me to go off and explore many much better MMO's over time, with far less headaches.
Playing my Healadin PvPing. Having 2-3 players wacking on me and very just could not kill me. Having my cousin playing his rogue kill everyone before they didnt know I was alone and me stunning the last guy as he tried to run away because his buddies had just all died. I miss them days =-) Will be getting into WoD PvP soon, I hope its better then I left in in WotLK.
Would have to say was one of my early experiences and first time playing an mmo, I was playing as an undead warlock and ran into a bug where I died on an elevator at level 11 and my corpse was under it and I could not retrieve my corpse or gear. As a result I was unable to get any help and quit the game avoiding a potential WoW addiction.
Getting my first spirit beast. Another belf hunter was camping Arcturis and told me good luck when he asked if it was my first spirit. Within in a hour I got him. Next 2 days I went to camp Gondria and I got him immediately, 2 days after I got Arcturis.

One night in Arathi Basin a cheeky rogue made a perverse comment to me. Now we have been together for 6 years!

My favorite memory?
Getting my mount back when it was actually difficult to do so.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?

Any of our world first kills were always a great memory..but one of my favorite overall memories would have to be this:
