General: Bionic Marine Command Online Heads to Greenlight

BMCO, also known as Bionic Marine Command Online, has been selected for the Steam Greenlight campaign. Fans of the sci-fi genre will want to check it out as the game is described as a mash up of several different game types.

BMCO is an open-world game that assembles several genres together – Sandbox, RPG, and World Building (Border Moons Expansion) with a MOBA style multiplayer. Players will be able to dictate how they play through our divergent skill-based progression system that allows the player to tailor their character to their unique playstyle. Starting the game as either a Bionic Marine or a Relentless Mercenary players will be able to interact with the worlds various factions. When they aren't exploring the massive universe on foot they can take control of a devastating Mech or space faring ship in two additional and completely unique gameplay modes! Bionic Marine Command can be played as a solo experience or with guild members, with strangers, and with friends alike.

    This looks like straight sci-fi and not steampunk to me but maybe I'm wrong.

    Definitely Scifi, but for alpha those are some pretty decent environments. If this is like star wars galaxies minus jedi, it won't be half bad. God I miss SWG

    Thanks for mentioning our game! Yeah the game is a near future SciFi  installment. SWG is also one of the games we drew from as an influence since it is a game we love ourselves.

    For any reads information the fantasy steam punk is Utherous why the sci-fi is Bionic Marine Command Online.  The Steam Green Light is for a Indie bundle of two games together not one single game.

    That's right. Our game, Bionic Marine Command Online is a scifi game on Greenlight with Utherous, a steampunk themed game which is pretty dope. Both games are in early Alpha at present.

    Anyone see their stream today? It was pretty hilariously buggy, but on the flip side it seemed like they had a good idea of exactly where they wanted to go with it and what their next update was gonna fix. Said they were gonna do another stream in two weeks time, we'll see if they make some meaningful progress between now and then.
