Being a PC gamer means rising to the challenge. Whether you casually play MMOs or are a competitive e-sports aficionado, at some point you’ve looked at your hardware and wondered whether it was time to upgrade. Most of us overlook the keyboard, or maybe make our choices based on the lighting options. That’s a problem, as the Roccat Ryos TKL mechanical keyboard so easily proves. Blending style and function, the TKL is likely to change your typing experience for the better and take your game to the next level.

All keyboards these days are crap, the best one and the REAL GAMING keyboard is either the Zboard or the Merc.
The other keyboards have all the same crappy WASD keys and these ones are the only ones with different keys, they are amazing.
Sadly they are out of stock everywhere!
Merc
Zboard

Agreed. Most of what is being offered is crap. The standard keyboard can actually be reconfigured to be a gaming keyboard while still keep it 100% typing compatible. That does not make a good gaming keyboard.
Instead of improving that Roccat is trying to make a typing keyboard that is also a gaming keyboard and it fails.
As a matter of fact I'd say it worse than using just a regular KB as its sacrificed all 17 keys of the10-key pad, which as a gamer I do use.
The only thing they've really changed, and it is for the better, is the thumbster keys. That is actually an attempt to turn a typing keyboard into a dedicated gaming keyboard.
Otherwise itsa typing KB loaded with semi-useful, (if that), "bells & whistles".

Nothing in recent years has beaten the Thrustmaster Tactical Board:
7 keys under 1 thumb is the best thing I have ever used for gaming. When that died I moved to a Nostromo which , whilst good, still can't beat the above.
I prefer logitech keyboards the G-series
The G510 is awesome

You know when you play too much MMO's when your partners pants have become a rare drop.
Way over priced if you ask me.
BTW for the guy who mentioned the Merc keyboard, I bought one from Amazon recently and I just checked the site and it still says they are in stock. I have to agree the Merc keyboard is much better than this one.
No signature, I don't have a pen
I have a Corsair K90; and I'm very happy with it. It Has Cherry MX Black mechanical keys, but can come with the silent [red] ones... it is backlit with blue LED, which can be set to three brightness levels (or turned off); it has 18 deicated macro keys on the left handside, as well as 3 switches to scroll through entire keyboard/macro setups. It has video player controls, and a volume scroll wheel. The K90 is totally feature-packed, and it has a standalone console/app that lets you program and switch macro sets, reprogram any key, and pretty much tweak any input.
My friends have praised Razer gaming keyboards, and Thermaltake's... but I think Corsairs, as decent, feature laden keyboards are the best. The keys are just so responsive and solid. (Although those cool specialized WASD keys on Merc & Z Board are eniviable)
They do offer a full size version called the MK Glow.
Man, I have used a ton of gaming keyboards, and I have to say, you couldn't be more wrong about this Roccat. Every key is programmable and with the Easy Shift tech you can make every single key a macro without losing to original functionality of the key. That means that it can mirror the functionality of any macro-key keyboard without less hand movement to trigger those actions. Not to mention, both of those boards you mentioned are rubber domes, which makes them feel all together more squishy and less satisfying. Even over other mechanical gaming keyboards, I'm liking the Roccat more. Just the feel of typing on it is hands and shoulders above other boards I've tried, including the Razer Blackwidow with MX Blue/Green, Corsair K70 with MX Red, Logitech g710+ with MX Brown, and the Razer Chroma with Razer Greens. I'm not sure what it is, but it is seriously a dream to type on and FAR from crap. This thing is built like a tank.
I used to feel the same way. It's true what they say, though: Once you go mechanical, you never go back. The keys are so light to the touch and it makes typing a much more satisfying experience.
I agree that Corsair's are also excellent. I tried the K70 with MX Reds and returned it because I couldn't get used to the linearity. I recently picked up the K70 RGB with MX Browns, however, and am in love. I still think the Ryos TKL Pro has a more satisfying typing experience but the Corsair board is a close second, and I'm a fan of the aluminum top plate.
Using a G15 myself (sadly the newer orange light version) and it never failed me.
I bought it for the LCD display back then because i wanted to see my FPS when playing. This is still the main usage (using afterburner). I considered getting the G13 gaming addon but actually never felt the need for it.
