1) it would be great to use for a group of friends who like to play pencil-and-paper RPGs together, for those weeks when plans don't work out.
2) also would be great for feedback and story ideas if putting together some creative writing.
3) should reduce the amount of comments following the pattern "i could implement feature X beter than these devs".
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.
I wonder how many new kickstarter projects we will see this year.
It's funny you should use that term because Atavism has many of the same pros and cons of Maxis' Klik n Play software from 20 years ago. In short, learning to create a basic, functioning game is quick and easy. However, it will be rather generic and almost identical to everyone else's game.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre

It would make far more sense to use a single-player game engine/creator than something like this.

I can see it being fun as a hobby project for a non-programmer but not for something that will be released to the public. As others have said, you're going to end up with basically the same game as everybody else who used the framework.

A non-programmer who would make such a claim, tries to prove it with the Atavism engine, and fails would then claim that he simply had the wrong tools and given the right engine, it would work better.

I don't see any problem with same old game , difference stuff to play.
It not like we even get new stuffs to play with , most nowadays game are same anyway. Rarely see something new come out.
And why have to worry , if it no good then it will fail.
What ready matter here is it easy to get hack or not. Because you need account in online game .
It would be good if this would be able to make small DIY MMOs. Like PW NWN servers.
Let see...

For those who has not yet seen it here is a few examples of people making their games with Atavism.

People don't seem to realize this is a plugin for Unity. You can do nothing with this by itself.

I think that to advertise own product is very important and I also believe that it's the details that determine the success of our efforts.
So you write Environment and not Enviroment :P
You build the game while running around in it?
