When your first game as a developer was an incredible hit like Mojang’s Minecraft, this means unavoidably a hard life for whatever comes next. While it’s almost impossible to live up to expectations, at least you have the benefit of the spotlight. However, you are really out of luck when at the same time one of the industry leaders decides to release a game in the same genre – which happened with Blizzard and Hearthstone. Scrolls was unlucky enough to get overshadowed not only once, but twice.

Heard of it at it's conceptual phase since it was Mojang pitching it. You couldn't go to a news site without it advertising Scrolls for weeks despite there being little information about the game. Add to that nearly all of the Minecraft fans were raving about it for some time as the next big thing.
But the game itself never interested me as I wasn't into card games. The only company that managed to suck me into that genre was Blizzard, because Blizzard. So, yeah... overshadowed is an understatement considering the amount of hype this game had the moment there was press release and the second the idea itself was tweeted.
If I recall correctly there was also a lawsuit by Elder Scrolls for them to change the name of Scrolls since they didn't want to be associated with a card game. Naturally, it was a frivolous claim and people shook their heads in disgust at the Elder Scrolls lawyers for picking on the Mojang, since it was another one man job game.
The game is bad. That is all that needs to be said.
First piggy backing off of the " Craft " word play and then piggy backing of another well known named game series with " Scrolls ". The douche doesnt have an original bone in his body.
Except you gave absolutely no reason as to why it is bad, you are complaining about the names of Mojang's games and that is it. Sure Minecraft piggy backed off of the "craft" title but in general that is what the game is mining and crafting. Scrolls has that name because instead of cards they are supposed to be represented by scrolls, and the game is pretty unique when it comes to TCG's. First you have to sacrifice cards for mana in your pool, which I have never seen done in a card game. Next the opponent has 5 or 6 different life bars (I can't remember at the moment), which they can block with individual creature cards, and the cards you place down attack in a line. I really have no idea what you are talking about.
