During today's Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade Twitch stream, it was announced that Miguel Caron will be leaving Behaviour Interactive. Nathan Richardsson will be taking over as the Studio Head. At this point, we do not know what is next for Miguel, but we wish him all the best.

His contributions to EVE fanfest's are stilll the stuff of legends.

according to his linkedin page he left trion almost 18 months ago and he was at ubisoft for a bit since. Going to be interesting to see what Oveur adds to the madness :)

Nathan Richardson was the producer for Defiance - he departed Trion back in 2013 soon after Defiance launch.

Also I don't think that his leaving was voluntary - which is what happened to 90% of the Defiance San Diego based studio that Trion shut down during their massive restructuring back in Aug of 2013

That was what came to my mind.  There has to be a reason this guy has been from studio to studio...

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

I'm going to miss Miguel. Alot. But oh well, the new guy is experienced so I believe he will fill up Miguels shoes.

That is also what makes it such a hard field to break in to... Things are very internalized.

But as for the news them self, i wish Miguel the best of luck and i hope there are plans in motion already.

This have been a good conversation

This guy seemed like he was the heart of this project, I haven't been following this games development super closely, but almost all communications, posts, etc. that I have come across were by this guy. I know really early in development most dev's don't have community managers yet, but they usually don't have the project lead handling almost all communications with the community either. Just the fact that the lead developer and head of the studio is leaving doesn't bode well, but it's especially jarring considering he was the voice of the game.

I wonder what happened to cause him to leave like this. I was cautiously optimistic about this game, and I still am, but I won't be holding my breath.

Without his experience with real life military tactics/strategy, I became VERY worried about how EC will turn out.

This is SUCH a BAD NEWS!

agree here- not only that he knew warhammers lore inside n out. now this maybe 'just' another shooter.
