When they go B2P they will also rename the game and that means new retail boxes that in turn mean increased prize ( coz retailers will see it as a new product instead of the discount bin old product)
Well I would likely do some download version rather then a retail box, unless there was really some kind of bonus that actually made it worthwhile to do the box version?
If you buy the box wait to sub until february 17th. If you get a dload you can get it now and then have 16 days of off-time or pay time or wait until feb 17th since march 17th the subscription goes away.
IF someone was thinking of buying... best place for best price and when would be the time to buy? Thoughts?, opinions?
My opinion is to wait until it is on Steam, the new version.Usually when Steam does it there is some small incentive, added item and a reasonable price. This however might not be until a couple months after but maybe not being that their main focus now is selling the new console version.

Best site for digital games is G2A. Currently ESO is at $16. I would buy now because prices will go up come B2P release day. I buy all my games at G2A because i get a 100% guarantee they work or i get a replacement/money back (never happened so far) and they are cheaper than most other sites.

Steam are losing the plot with prices, a lot of gamers shop else where now, then enter the serial number as a none Steam game.
Example from last year .. Steam had ESO for £50, I purchased ESO from GTA2.com for £11 including all dlc.

You do know that the only thing in the box aside from a few coasters is the serial key?
I don't see how a download is any different than the Box. . . .

Some people buy the box version just to have the box. I have a big collection.

I understand that, that wasn't what I was referring to in my comment.
the point was if a person is not buying directly from the ESO Site a download would require a serial key. . .the same key that's in the box. . .
I kinda want to get the imperial version, but haven't seen any good deals on that one (digital or physical). That's why I haven't tried to buy it yet. If anyone finds a good deal on it, I hope you'll post about it on here. ^_^

Not sure if you will find it much cheaper than $60. The imperial edition appears to be an upgrade in their cash shop so that might be the only way to get it in the future. It's possible it could remain on Betheseda's online store but I have a feeling you won't be able to get it from third party sites after March 17th. That's just a hunch though so here is a grain of salt to take it with.
Originally posted by IkedaGamesrocket has it 17 bucks right now....DLGamer is the other cheapest at $25. Lowest so far is under $20 from most places... but you ignored those during the various Winter Sales....http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=elderscrollsonline
Is gamesrocket legit?
No no no. I still have no response from them regarding their verification scam getting folks to email them a copy of your ID and photo of you holding the ID... identity theft stuff. I am currently waiting for the charge back to be resolved via paypal.
When you use paypal they warn you of "verification" that "may" be required yet they don't detail what that entails at all.
Like clockwork, I get an email, after I have been charged, saying there is an irregularity requiring a phone call verification. So you follow the link, get a phone call from a computer that, again like clockwork, is unable to recognize you pressing the buttons on the phone to verify...
So you get put into the second tier of "verification" that wants you to send all the sensitive and private information as mentioned prior.
Still have my money, wont respond to support emails, wont send a key... SCAM.

Keep in mind you get 30 days free and Feb only has 28 days. That means if you buy the game starting today you will be able to play with no sub fee. You do not have to wait until the 17th.
I think the price will go up for a tiny bit once they go B2P and then will dive down pretty quickly just like TSW did. So if you want to play right now I'd buy it now, if you don't care when you start I'd wait a few months.
