I think am I most interested in how a game that used to capture my interest, consume my time, and be at the forefront of my thoughts has become so blah to me now. How did this happen? Tin foil hat guys, was this the plan?

Still a great game and glad it doesn t suck all my time, as life has more to offer then just sit at a desk and play a game. I m glad it has a great casual element like most MMOs now.

Might want to include that this is a patch preview of WoW in the thread topic.

So I've got this theory that WoW is gonna get the next paid expansion done faster by skimping on the free patches. Would anyone else qualify this patch as skimpy?

I'm glad they changed the blood elf female's underwear from a bikini brief to a thong. That's what was missing....

So it would seem. This game no longer interests me at all, and 6.1 hasn't altered that.

I would qualify for one of those statues, but I cancelled my account around Christmas. Lucky me!

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

Once PVP is FIXED I will be back in wow. Right now, Melees are retardedly OP in pvp.

Granted, Wow is a PVE game but the way they balance it seems to show that they had ZERO idea on how to do it despite having 10 years of experience.

Whats the typical day in arena as a healer

    Gates Open

    -You'll see a dk/war/rogue/hunter

-You'll get trained by them with little to no CCs on your dps

-You'll burn defensive/healing cds to mitigate the damage

-Your dps will be trying their best to help you but it doesn't really matter since the enemy dps healthbar doesn't even move a little

-Defensive/Healing cds are down and you could only last for 15-30s

    -You died

They want casters to cast and im fine with that but it happened that they forgot that disarms are the only tools that deter melees from training you to the ground.

To stop caster -> Hard CC, Interupts

To stop melee -> Hard CC, ???

There are posts that have a lengthy explanation detailing on how to fix pvp and some under-represented class Ex WW monks, Destro  locks, Ele shaman but they have conveniently being ignored LOL.

CCs on MOP was really out of control but hell I enjoyed the shit out of it. Right now, everyone and their mom rolls a dk/rogue/ret/hunter/war/rdruid and to be competitive you'll need to roll one of these class unless you love getting your face pounded in everytime the gates open.

Maybe the LAST patch of OWD and not 6.1 will fix things but realistically I guess the only time things will get fixed would be the next xpac. LOL.

Blood elf new models or new raids wont make me re-sub back to this game once my sub-time ran out. At the meantime i'll be happy playing some other games.

All these haters LOL bet the devs are crying all the way to the bank with their 10 million subscribers. Can't be doing too much wrong if you've got that many coming back huh.

What's funny is that most of these people who keep posting yawns are probably playing games in whic their developers have either lied to them with promises they didn't keep, had some crackpot economist take over the game and make it even more eastern than the worst of the Chinese grind games, or my personal favorite made their game an exact replica of the standard EQ 2004 model in which that's all you do is either do the standard lobby instance thing or you spend all your time trying to get the RNG crafting to work in your favor.

I'll stick with games that are actually FUN to play thanks and I'm also going to stick with WoW because for the first time in Blizzard history, there are more choices for progression than ever! I've not stepped foot in a dungeon since I came back and that is the most amazing part of all! I haven't had to!

    So much yawn.

The hell do you expect? Free trips to Mars? Free models sent to your basement dwellings?

Have realistic expectations, it's just a damn MMO content patch.

Isn't this 1 on 1 current situation in WoW?

I decided to finally try out the expansion.  paid my 55 dollars and couldn't log in. I realized that it didnt come with a subscription!

So this expansion really costs $70.00.  I laughed and put in for a refund which I received last night.

    Nice try Blizz!

    There is a disturbing lack of content in this patch, and WoD badly needs more content. It's a great expansion but outside of raiding and PvP the expansion offers absolutely nothing substantial;

    - The daily 'quest' to kill a bunch of mobs until a bar fills up became irrelevant the moment Highmaul opened. There are a few achievements you could complete, but these are one-time only.

    - The weekly mini-quest chain only occurs 10 times, and offers some of the worst story writing in the history of WoW, accompanied with some of the worst rewards and gameplay.

    - Garrisons ended up being nothing but a daily set of mouse clicks, to the point where it is rapidly becoming annoying (mine cleaning, anyone?). It hasn't turned out to be the involving gameplay it was promised to be.

    - The... Wait, hold on, that's all WoD offers outside of raids and PvP. I suppose you could run old content? Or something...

And speaking of raiding, my guild is tired of Highmaul, of all the raids in WoW many of us would rate it amongst the more boring and uninspired raids, with poor loot to top it off. Hopefully BRF is better.

I bet my money on the likely fact that WoW is bleeding subscriptions from players not into raiding or into serious PvP.

I think Blizzard needs to put more effort into 6.1; More quest chains, less silly weekly lockouts on open world content (you didn't need it for timeless isle and that was the best content in MoP), more meat in general. Perhaps they shouldn't have scrapped Faralohn (the zone that would have been north-east of Gorgrond), or perhaps they shouldn't have waited until 6.2 for Tanaan.

Ehhh you been living under a rock since 1996 or something?

No MMO expac has ever come with a month subscription. Only for new players.

Existing players always had to resubscribe. /facepalm

No it's got nothing to do with how much, it's do with whats in it. There changing shit no one wants changing. BldElf model probably the only thing people actually wanted. Check the replies to the patch notes on the their website

C'mon be fair while other games are regularly releasing garbage like new zones, new professions, new skills, AA systems, justice systems, provisioning systems while WOW is releasing such nuggets as 'town centers' and the ability to take selfies.

    rpg/mmorg history: Dun Darach>Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW > oblivion > LOTR > Guild Wars (1900hrs elementalist) Vanguard. > GW2(1000 elementalist), Wildstar

Now playing GW2, AOW 3, ESO, LOTR, Elite D
