EU servers

in Rift

A few friends and I are thinking about giving rift a play, as we're in a bit of a mmo dry spell. 

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an EU server with a decent population.  None of us really pvp, so a server with lots of guilds/group finding would be pref.

Is it even worth playing Rift right now?  Are there a lot of people still playing?

I've done a few searches on google, but only really found info on servers that don't seem to exist anymore which kinda puts me off.

    I think the servers (shards) have been unified, they work now as a megaserver. I'm thinking in going back and start fresh. Last I've heard, population on EU is thiner than in NA, but it's not a big deal.

    Yes it is worth playing right now, with gearing became easy for new people that are coming to the game. Eu side it smaller then the NA, but there people still raiding and doing other things there.

    But if your going to level, there not short of quest if don't have patron, but if you want to hit 65 as fast as you can then patron stats is worth it.

    there are 3 PvE english servers 1 PvP whole round server 1 german and 1 french PvE server.

    However you can jump onto diff servers whenever you want to (but auctionhouse and items carnt be traded to others from other servers) normal type rules.

    You can server hope with your character and you can do this once a week, free of charge (though most stick to their own language servers). nobody tends to live on the PvP server but they do hop onto that i believe (though its empty).
