I'll join one of these 3 MMORPGs when they are released. My favorite is currently Ultima X and I'm interested in opinions of other people here.

I'm a long time EQ player (not exactly a fan because my main was a ranger). I quit playing it of course BUT, now I need a fix. There is no way I'd go back to EQ , it would take years to get anywhere on it and frankly I just want it to die and a new day to be born. I hope Horizons lives up to the hype.. oh wait er ... Yeah I chose WoW too but, intend on playing Horizons too. So to clear that up...WoW and Horizons ...whichever turns out better will be the one I stick ta.

Ohh Im So Scary... BOO
I've seen some posts on various forums which are saying that Horizons is not good. And I think WoW won't be released untill late 2004.

I see alot o' positive and negative comments on Horizons. There is only one real way to find out and that will be to play it. My question is will it have the same kinda budget as EQ. I think it would be nice to be a pioneer of a MMORPG for a change, instead of someone who comes in after the game has been out for years.

Message from the Development Team
We really appreciate the communitys overwhelmingly positive reaction to the game-play movie we just released. Thanks to your enthusiastic responses, we soon found that the movie raises several questions, so here are some answers.
-First off, yes, that really is game play and yes, those were real players fighting real monsters in the game. Were in the middle of an internal alpha with World of Wacraft here, so in our off hours were seeking out good loot (and good cinematography) and fighting some of those same monsters that you saw in the movie. Of course the soundtrack was added after the movie was made, but we have some pretty great music and sound effects that are part of the game itself.
-Contrary to how it may look in one of the scenes, there is no Dwarf tossing in the game; players in the World of Warcraft are just mighty leapers.
-The city that you see in the movie is the grand city of Stormwind. This is the main base of operations for Humans. You see several shots of the city in the movie, the first of which is through the main gates and crossing the Valley of Heroes, where the statues of heroes stand along either side of the bridge leading into the city. The next one is of the main street in the trade district, and then theres one of the grassy streets and purple roofs of the mage district. You then get to see several shots of various interiors inside Stormwind. The final shots in Stormwind are the exterior and interior of the Cathedral of Light, which is the spiritual heart of the city.
-The waterfall that you see is in the Wetlands. Its at the bottom of the Stonewrought Dam in Loch Modan (which can be seen briefly in the background behind the commander at 2:42 into the movie). And yes the waterfall is real; you can go up to it and under it and so on&its in the game.
-You see several different creatures in the battle arena, the first of which are the wolf-like Worgen. We cant talk about the large fellow with the hammer yet, but we can say that he is not a Frost Giant.
-If you look carefully in the scene where four characters are walking forward slowly with torches, youll see an Ogre in the background in front of the entrance to an Ogre Mound (at time 2:02).
-Here are some of the special abilities that you see characters using in the movie (the numbers are at what point in the movie you see each thing):
:35 - Frost Armor
:35 - Defend
:54 - Dual Wield
:55 - Fireball (from offscreen)
:58 - Poison (on the Orc in the background)
1:45 - Chains of Ice (already cast on the Skeleton)
1:45 - Frostbolt
-To answer the question that is most often asked about the trailer: we have not determined the final system specs, but the game will certainly run fine with an 800MHz CPU and a GeForce2.
-Finally and perhaps most importantly, there are no visible Pandarens in the trailer, though we admit its a bit hard to be sure, because Pandarens can be so good at disguising themselves
-Thanks again for all the feedback and excitement about the movie, as your reaction makes us quite excited as well. We were all giddy in the hours after the movie was released, watching the feedback roll in. Keep it coming!
-The World of Warcraft Development Team

I think that most people are capable of finding WoW homepage on their own. So there's no need to copy-paste entire page here. A simple link would be enough.

No kidding....WoW looks neat and all, but I've reviewed all the aforementioned sites. And as I said before, I'm all for UXO.
I strongly urge anyone still on the fence to check out that site and at the very least take a peak at the screen shots. There's quite a few!
Enjoy...
