Okay, so I've been lookin for a good MMO for a while now but some of the ones I was interested in are sounding like they arent that good. (Those MMO's would be RF Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online) I've also played WoW, I dont like that, its way too kiddyish for me. I use to play EQ, never again. Guild Wars was way too short...and just not that fun. And of course, CoH, which in my oppinion sucked all kinds of bad. AO wasnt that great. Shadowbanes PvP was good but got cut short on pretty much everything else. The Matrix Online was uber disappointing...SWG was even more disappointing. And last but barely not least, Dark Age of Camelot was also the opposite of goodness.
I guess what I'm saying is that all the big commercial games just disappoint me and I'm at a lost at what MMO to play. I want a game where I can be a great melee class (Shadowknights rock), where I can solo easily enough (still have enough people to be social), tradeskills are important (Blacksmiths rock). I know Im asking alot but there has got to be at least one good game out there. Thanks.

Well there's Horizons (not many quests) and The Saga of Ryzom (hard to solo).
Hate to scare you but EQ2 sounds like the only game left. I'd be interested to know what you think about it....

There is only one cure for your current ailment of suffering from the mundane mmorpg: Nexustk. If you check out Nexustk on the game list, dig a little deeper because the whole graphics interface has been revamped. There are some good player submitted screenshots available as well as a very well-written review by one of our most influential players, Vini. The website for Nexus is nexustk.com, and you can also find a great webiste nexusatlas.com, which has news, quest details, item info, and forums.
What can you find in Nexus? You can find roleplay, a player controlled community, crafting, hunting, four paths: mage, poet, rogue, and warrior (all of which have four subpaths of their own--12 being player controlled with unique spells and item), a great community, player ran events, a free market, exciting games, and a great online experience.
If you decide to play, or anyone for that matter, I believe there is a useful beginners guide on Nexusatlas. You can also whisper me in the game or send me a letter. My name is xSIDx. You can also ask people throughout the community. There are many kind and helpful souls amongst us. The forums at Nexusatlas may be helpful as well.
Nexus is by far the best mmorpg I've ever played.
It seems to me that maybe the MMORPG may not be your kind of game. It sounds like you don't care for this kind of game. You listed WoW, EQ, Guild Wars, CoH, AO, Shadowbane, The Matrix Online, SWG, and even DAoC, which IMO you aren't going to find a better MMORPG than that. I think if you don't like any of those games, you are going to be hard pressed to find anything out there that you like. Although maybe something like Planetside would suit you. No crafting there and it's a FPS but it is an exciting and adrenaline pumping type of game.
It sounds to me with what you are looking for in a game (Shadowknights, Soloing, Crafting, Decent Tradeskills with Blacksmithing) that WoW is your game. It looks kiddyish but you gotta admit it has gobs of style.
Try UO last I checked it had everything your looking. It's an older game yet fun though I haven't played it for about a year and a half. I believe they have a free trial.
