Takes $600.
Buys cheap suit.
Gets a better job.
Buys little brother a $3,000 computer.
I'm going to assume that you don't need new peripherals, as if you do, that's going to be an awfully tight budget. Anyway:

That comes to $574, not including shipping. You could someday add a discrete video card, but that doesn't fit the initial budget very well. If you do add a discrete video card, you should add another case fan or two at the same time. One fan will be fine on integrated graphics.
Here is way more sensible build:
i3-4160 - 157 AUD

Gigabyte H81 - 75 AUD

Corsair 500W - 85 AUD

Crucial 4x1GB - 55 AUD

Sapphire R7 260x - 155 AUD
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/sapphire-amd-radeon-r7-260x-2gb-video-card-ab52398
WD 1TB - 75 AUD

Antec case - 45 AUD
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/antec-vsk4000bu3-black-midtower-case-ab53947
That is a bit over the budget - 647 AUD, but one can truly call it a gaming rig, unlike the one above with no dedicated graphics card.
If you want to stay within budget, you can save some on cheaper case:
In Win BW138 - 27 AUD

and
ASUS AMD Radeon R7 260 1GB - 130 AUD
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/asus-amd-radeon-r7-260-1gb-video-card-ab59242
overall 43 AUD saved, placing you at 404 AUD.
I'd recommend something like this. Sorry in advance it goes 110$ over your budged
CPU: AMD FX-6300: 145$

GPU Sapphire Radeon 260x: 155$

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G43 AM3+: 105$

RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsX 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 2133MHz: 106$

CASE: Antec CSK400B: 44$
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/antec-vsk4000bu3-black-midtower-case-ab53947
PSU: 500W, 59$
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/silverstone-strider-essential-80-500w-black-power-supply-ab58554
DVD DRIVE: ASUS DRW-24D3ST 24x: 20$
http://www.mwave.com.au/product/asus-drw24d3st-24x-internal-oem-dvd-burner-drive-ab49180
Total 709$. I would have tried to recommend a cheaper motherboard, but there were no good options at the store you asked to use. The cheaper ones had only SATA 2 support.
You could save a bit by getting 500GB HD instead of 1TB, but it wouldn't save that much so I picked 1TB version.
Sorry it's over your budged, but it should offer good gaming performance.
Only part that's really lacking is that it has no SSD, but at this price it's a trade-off between picking either SSD for fast loading times or large HD to avoid storage space problems.
haha presto!
OP i would suggest to go with what Quizzical posted. No one is more knowledgeable than him on this site when it comes to computer builds. You will never go wrong. He is the GURU of pc builds.
Good luck. I know how exciting it is to make a new pc.
I did. Since OP didn't reply again i thought maybe he is still lurking around and if he is..i would like to suggest him to go with the right advice.
I did not realize, thanks for notifying.
Time wasted suggesting that my build yet, if he hasn't replied anything in 2 weeks he's not actively looking from this thread at the moment.
