With the sudden swing in the MMO Market, leading to what im calling "The Great MMO Market Collapse of 2015", I think Pantheon is actually in a great position to push itself into the market.
What it's offering is a classic MMO experiance, no new bells and whistles, just classic MMO gaming that alot of us here grew up with and still get nostalgic over every day.
So what do I think the future holds for Pantheon? Again this is coming from someone with a very hard-boiled opinion on the game, who has been there for every news story, every forum post, and collective taking in many of the other forum poster's and journalist's opinions on the subject.
1. Pantheon will receive a huge investment from either a new Kickstarter Rebrand or Outside funding from potential investors.
I see this happening because of the way the market is dropping. By the end of the year theres going to be money floating around and someones going to pick it up, Pantheon just might have the vision to pull it off.
2. Pantheon will move farther from "Big-Name" sites and continue bringing in a more solid core-community.
The team has already made alot of progress with the community by connecting more intimiately on our forums here on MMORPG and their own, and has gotten rid of Item Shop's and other more tenuous parts of the project that brought it down in the past. Time has shone that being in the spotlight isnt what Pantheon needs, the game needs to be more humble and practical and thats what we are seeing as a result of the many hicups production has suffered. The old MMO forum's were like this, and the tight knit community strengthens the whole project.
3. Pantheon Website will be given a major redesign to keep up with its current "Lore Library" Web Page, and carve itself a better name in 2015.
The Lore site (www.thekeepersvault.com) is a very sleek and intimate idea for an MMO project. It's almost more of a lore writers workshop put out for everyone to see. Its a story in progress, and like the game, shows a huge amount of heart, commitment, and loyalty to fantasy purists and fans of classic mythologies. For a Lore-Fiend like myself, I cant help but go back to this page every now and again and wonder and read, just for the fun of it. Which leads me to my final point.
4. Pantheon will get more "Fun".
The project has suffered set backs, its been through alot of internet hate and negativity, but the team their has pushed beyond that. Their posts are not the bleak, unsure ones that would appear on the kickstarter or the game's Facebook page. This site's community has been more embracing of Brad and the team and the strong community core its rebuilt might just be its saving grace and lead to its success in 2015.
*These are simply my personal outlooks on the project, nothing I state is fact or should be concieved as such, just simple conjecture on a fascinating MMO to me*

I hope your right but I have my doubts for the following reasons:
1. Modern gamers are just not mature enough to play a group orientated MMO. They do not have the patience, communication skills, understanding of MMOs to play a true MMO. They want everything handed to them with no effort. They want a win button they can press anytime. They have no ability to communicate with others and would be incapable of being part of a community. They have no understanding how to treat other people with the respect players used to treat each otehr when reputation actually mattered. Pantheon is and should be a niche game for real gamers who want community. Modern players need instant gratification and eye candy all the time. They only think short term and never long term. They cannot play a MMO longer than a few months. They have been conditioned that they always get what they want. This is not the game for the masses. It may and hopefully will grow but its not a mainstream game.
2. I question the funding and the team. I love the ideas but I really question can a volunteer team actually make a AAA type quality MMO. I also have severe doubts they will get finding without having to compromise the vision. I hope they are able to use Kick starter ti get additional funding. But given the reaction the last time on Kickstarter , Brad's reputation among some gamers and the harsh attacks form people who do not like this type of game or Brad i see it being very difficult. Hopefully Brad will be able to show people a more finished product with Alpha scheduled to start this year along with a more modest KS goal will work. I sure hope it does. The MMO genre very much needs this game to be made and made well.
I agree, there is literally nothing to look forward to for YEARS when it comes to MMO's. All the big hype games crashed into the hype train. Wow remains untouchable except by the time Pantheon comes out WoW will seem as old as Project 1999 and even more repetitive.
I'm more concerned with what happens after this game gets funded. Will it get mismanaged into the ground just like Vanguard? Will Brad stick with it? Will the Rite of Passage system turn it into every other forced questing MMO or worse? Brad leaves games shortly after making them whether they are sinking ships or hugely successful, AKA VG and EQ. What's to prevent him from doing what he's always done this time around? Because we all know as soon as this game gets sold off you mine as well throw it in the garbage, as all immersion will disappear overnight.
Of course this is only your personal opinion.
Nothing you listed here, is based on anything that would count as reasonable or realistic.
As for the ability of the team or funding. I dont know for sure but ill continue to support them while I play single player games....... cuz ya know.... everything MMO out now sucks
Disagree completely. FFXI limit breaks were awful. Not only did it take forever to get to max level back then but now you have to do these annoying throwaway quests that are really just there to make you think the game is bigger then it really is. In fact, most of the forced questing in FFXI was just illusionary content, or an MMO slight of hand so to speak. Is an expansion lacking? No problem just make the fetch quests longer. That's been the story of that game for nearly a decade.
Furthermore the limit break quests didn't even make sense for Final Fantasy. Never in the history of FInal Fantasy did you ever have to do a quest to raise the level cap. So why start with FFXI? Oh because you're paying monthly of course. That didn't even make sense for the FF series let alone an Everquest successor. Now AA on the other hand would be an excellent addition. As would making combat less boring then EQ classic but still group centered.
You don't understand how many more people would have commented and complained if I DIDNT put that up.
Also I followed Vanguard for years and originally had plans to go to a community love event but got injured and couldn't attend.
On this topic, you are correct. I know there's another website in development for Pantheon - whether that be the official or developer site, I'm unsure.
