Hardest game & Why

For me it was "The Rocketer". On the first stage theres this stupid plane race, its you and three other computer players for some reason on the last part of the stage the computer planes goes faster than you. I kept trying to beat those motha FU%$#NG computer players. Then I got fed with that Bull sh*t I bought a Game Genie to get it over with.

try it out on a rom or sh*t and don't cheat on this game I wanna know if any of you guys can beat it.

Spiderman: Maxium Carnage

Now matter how I try not to die, I keep losing on Goblin, in the Fantastic 4 tower, and every thing else after that. I can't even remember if I beat this game.

This was the 2 player kind for SEGA and PC:

I got to add Mega Man X.

Ahh...the good old days of gaming. It just isn't the same anymore. Most of the newer games coming out feel so easy and linear.

Almost every old school game is difficult to some degree. Most new games are barely a challenge on normal difficutly. I think Devil May Cry 3 is probably one of the most difficult games recently released.

i just completed it 100% a couple of months ago it took forever....

especially on the hardest modes......

the beowolf fight on hard is unreasonable. I mean he is faster, he changes his attacks faster, and you cant shoot him without getting pummelled. it took at least 10 hours to do that fight on the second to hardest level, and probably another 10 on the hardest.

not to mention some of the ridiculous secret missions i like the ones that say "dont get hit at all or you instantly die" where on the easy modes you dont lose a life but on hard you lose a life every time you fail at that mission.

but megaman X got brutal towards the end also.

I remember comericals ofr that game way back. Another hard game is Zool when I was a kid. It's a really funny and fun game. You go and conquer diffrent planets or somthing. Such as the fruit, candy, music (music is the best), toy, and other planets.

Oh yeah did I forget to mention Strider? I have it for PSX and it's hard. This is an ARCADE game. I would have wasted over 20 dollars trying to beat it.

OMG, I remember the hardest game ever. It was on atari E.T. I never knew what I was sposed to do so I kept falling in holes couldn't ever get out. Eventually, I bought this game Haunted House, much better game.

Commandos.... so difficult i couldnt even get past the 3rd level with all the cheats turned on.

i heard commandos 2 was harder, needless to say i didnt even bother with it.

Just about ever game pre playstation was really hard for me. It may have been the fact that I was really young, but I never beat anything.

Sorry guys, but I think I am the reason game developers make easy games now. I play for the entertainment purpose, not to get all angry as hell to the point were it becomes work instead of fun to beat a level.

I played a few games that seemed hard during the "old school" gaming years. Keep in mind I was born in '86 and wasn't even 10 years old when I played these games..except for 2.

Final Fantasy 7: wasn't really a hard game except the 2nd form of Sephiroph and getting Knights of the Round Table took forever.

Sonic 3: Timing the jumps on those big ass cylinders in the carnival level was a pain.

Altered Beast: Probably the hardest single player game on the Sega...from a 7 year old's perspective.

Ninja Gaiden(NES, XBox): For the xbox version I put at least 3 holes in the wall during that first Alma battle. The NES version just made you start the level over if you died.

Contra 3: The Alien Wars! Everyone I know who owned it pretty much accepted that you didn't get past the fourth or fifth level.

There's probably lots of other games that I've blanked on, but these seem to be the bigger ones.

There was a Scooby Doo game for SNES I played. It was very hard. You had to play this mini game to get a clue and there was a 1 in 10 chances you would be able to beat it.

Star Ocean: Till the end of time

It takes over a hundered hours (Console play) to beat the damn thing, plus the storyline moves so slow a damn snail could beat it in a race.

Star Ocean then can be beaten with time then lol

Hardest games Ive played
-Mission Impossible - NES
The ninja boss with the tile cracking floors.
Ive cried lots of times trying to beat him
when I was small.

-Super Monkey Ball Deluxe - Xbox
I have a record of beating only one 10star difficulty stage. WOO!!
All the rest are too impossible.
