It seems that the website for the upcoming MMORPG, Stargate Worlds is up and running and now includes forums. There are three sections open on the website at the moment, a Chyenne Mountain Section (the name of the company the is making the game), a concept art section, and, of course, the forums.

    I never trust a movie-tv-book license. They Almost always try to ride on the name and suck in the process.

    But I don't like the show either, so I'll just stand far away and wish the rest of you the best of luck.

    i really hope they make something good with it. SG-1 was my best series ever. =) im bored of all those free grinding mmo (L2 style).

    I didn't see an FAQ although seeing as its real new I'm not suprised there isn't one. Has there been anything said about the game as far as cost. Will it be pay to play (aka monthly subscription), buy off the store shelf with no fee (like Guild Wars and I hear some other upcomings are), or free to play with some sort of other income setup like a cash shop or other type of income concept.

    YES!  And from the sounds of things Bridge Studios is behind them 100% and have given them oodles of artwork from the actual shows.... very very cool.  If this dev team is even halfway decent this should be one heck of a game.  One I'm definitely going to keep my eye on.

    I read on their forums that they aren't going to make it a fps mmo. Thats disappointing especially with all the gun play in the movie and tv shows. The reason is the same cop out " latency issues". If you slap a min requirement to at least have a DSL connection then you shouldn't have any problems IMO. I mean seriously, SG was all about discovery and combat. The game, if it follows the movies and shows has hugh solo friendly potential as well. From vehicle combat ground and air, to space combat. Making SG into a rpg when its roots are in a fps is just plain ignorant. I don't think the devs realize what they can actually do with this title.
