I'm really hoping XV will release on PC at some point. I find it hard to justify a PS4 purchase for 1-2 games.

True that 2 games would not justify the purchase of a console. But I'm a vivid jRPG lover and there are already a couple of them (aside from FF) on the PS4 as well. But before buying a PS4 I'll wait for the 2nd or 3rd release of the console to iron out all current problems. Till then there are still enough jRPGs for me to play on the PS3. ;-)

The older I become the worse the writing gets for the FF series.

Oh I'm a lover of the JRPG's too, I'm clearing out my tales backlog finally on PS3, finally bit the bullet and bought one a couple months ago, i'll be busy and should clear up the JRPG backlog by the time the PS4 hits the $200 range lol.

I didn't know PS4 had any JRPG's right now in NA.

I've bought my PS3 only last month and have started on the Tales of Xillia and FF13 and buying a lot of other jRPGs (2nd hand of course) to play through.

Not sure how many jRPGs there are yet available for the Western market (living in the EU myself), but I figure that there are a lot in Japan already. By the time I'm done with the PS3 jRPGs (and like you waiting for the PS4 to be around €200) a lot of the might already be translated to English so I (we) can continue our jRPG addiction there :D

Hopefully this doesn't come off as trolling because its not meant too. Its just how I feel about the ff series and consoles as a whole.

Meh I personally expert ff15 to be crap like most ff games are. They reuse the same plotline too much, WAY to much, pretty much every FF game since 4 has used the exact same plot, with the exact same plot twists that are super predictable, that and the gameplay has never been that great either. Though FF15 going to a more action rpg setup might be intersting. I do not own a ps4 yet, and I never play to get a lame xbone ever, mostly cuz the xbone won't ever have the variety of games the ps4 will end up having. (Look at ps3 vs x360 for proof, and ps2 vs xbox), that and thr fact its inferior compared to ps4 for crossplatform games (unless its on pc, then pc>all)

Besides the ps4 atm is too expensive for its lack of decent games. Sorry but generic fps and shooter #917362 do not interest me. You can also expect the ff15 on xbone to look massivly inferior to the ps4 version as its already been proven in mutiple games since xbone is noticably weaker hardware wise. The diffrence will be especally noticable since squaresoft games tend to have some of the best graphics on the market.

Anywho, I personally see 0 point to owning a ps4 right now, not when most of the games are avail for pc as well, a system/platform I already currently have. I am kinda intersted in ff15 if it doesn't use the same boring rehashed plot thatthey used since ff4 for most of the ff games. Its not the hero saves the world part either, thats in almost every game so cannot really hold that at fault, its other things.

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

There is quite a few jrpgs on the market for ps3, I got my ps3 last summer, and I have over 30 rpgs for it. With more coming as I find them. There is quite a good selection, more than any other console. Liek I said in my last post, playstation consoles always seem to get the better variety of stuff compared to xbone and nintendo. Just don't pay attention to the ratings, shit games like generic fps call fo duty gets like 80+ on meta critic yet a rpg that has way more gameplay and is overall a better game gets like 50. Most reviews are bought these days, makers of cod have money to throw around to bribe good reviews as a prime example. there is articles on kotaku of reviews for sites like ign and gamespot coming out they were bribed to rate a game higher than it deserves. Or rather their boss was. I usually use gamefaqs for my reviews, since its all user reviews. Its more reliable than metacritic. If you like jrpgs I also reccomend the nintendo 3ds, it has quite a few, especally alot of atlus games.

Is this for the PS4 / PC?

If it is, the graphics are reminding me of the '90s....  Not sure if I am even slightly impressed to try this game.

Ok, I see how FFXV looks good yes.

I like the FF IP.. but why must they still insist on having men look like girls... And I dont mean the long hair.
