DLC Sub or not?

Thing is if you subbed and played through the new DLC finishing it, then unsubbed. They shouldn't be able to take it away from you. You did pay for it with the sub. The next DLC you will have to sub and play through it or use crowns to buy it. An argument could be made you paid for it so a new character would be able to play through it even if not subbed because you paid for it when subbed with first character.

I mean are DLC's account bound or character bound? Where the person that bought it with account can do it with all characters they make. But the guy that subbed and finished the DLC have to sub again with next new character?

I see some real problems for them with how this will work.

Access to dlc while subscribed is renting rather than purchasing it.  DLC content is account bound, that includes mounts and pets.

If you catch a cab you get to ride in it while the meter is running. Same deal with a sub (as it stands).

However until there is some DLC the question is moot.

If the 1,500 crowns you get really does equal $15 worth then I think subbing will be a no brainier at least for a while. I look at it more like buying crowns on auto pay every month with DLC access as a bonus.

And what will you spend them on? The DLCs you're playing as your bonus? image

Unless you're really, really into costumes, pets and mounts, the first 1500 you spend should get you all you ever want to buy from the current stock.

Until they release some DLCs I wouldnt bother. Still waiting for them to offer some unreal 12 month sub plan, that might not happen until consoles get released though. but it sort of leaves PC people in limbo because I dont think  the crowns are worth the 15 dollar sub price. I suspect they will also be selling crowns and the crowns will have packages where theyre going ot be cheaper than a penny per (1500 crowns for a $15.00 sub, or even 'better than 6 /mo price of 12.99/mo 78 bux for 9000 crowns)

I guess it depends on how much the DLC is if you opted to buy it outright instead of renting it with a sub.  That said, if they allow the DLC to be bought with crowns, then when you sub you are basically trying the DLC with the option of putting the 1500 crowns towards the purchase if you want to.  Since that seems like a decent deal I have a feeling they will go with the "more money in their pocket" option which is to at least initially keep the DLC out of the crown store and only sell it with real money on their website.  Then maybe if they continue to make more DLC, they will start rotating in the older DLC into their cash shop to allow it to be purchased with crowns.  Just speculation of course.
