I thought you were joking when saw your thread title (!)
This isn't merely lazy or uninspired. I would say it's borderline fraudulent, in the same class as e-mails from Africa stating you've inherited a million dollars US and they just need your account information. At least it looks like no one has fallen for this one and actually pledged anything..
