I'm very interested in the Revenant since its shows why Rytlock Brimstone is such a bad ass also blind folded characters i sounds like i'm going to start a band of badass monks when it comes out. But nothing making more excited then guild halls since it reminds me of the good old guild wars nightfall days.
My favorite thing about the Revenant is the ability to change legends. I'm used to playing an elementalist, so I think I will enjoy the same mechanic with a Revenant. I also enjoy the fact that you can possess spirits from GW1, it sounds like a really neat idea for bringing nostalgia to the new gw2 ^-^
I would really love to see how the new skills and combat changes reflect in PvP since I'm mainly a PvP player myself, plus they're bringing some stuff from the original GW which I enjoyed playing at the time.
I am making a revenant as soon as HOT is release. I love the fact that you can play as King Jalis. It reminds me a lot of the dervish but more importantly I love the range hammer and stability on dodge skill. The class asthetic is nice specifically, the new skill bar tech.
Looking forward to playing as potentially Glint based on the promos.
I am actually with neotron on this one the taunt is going to be a big draw for grouping. So tired of these single player game play where people may join you for one hard fight and then immediately drop group. Stay together, be social.
I really like the concept of using old characters from the original game as a gameplay aspect. Allthough the class seems cool I'll probably still mostly play engineer especially with the new hammer skills.
First of all thanks to mike the community manager and arena net for setting up a great event for all the people here.
The "Revenant" looks a very special profession to me !! the profession is just like a combination of Elementalist and Warrior from guild wars 1, and this is gonna be real cool !
First and foremost the looks of revenant profession is its looks i.e Blindfolded fighter and that looks pretty awesome
Revenant got some great skills as they can use both ranged and non ranged skills. The class is made on the basis of both PVE and PVP and it got some special skills added from previous game.
ooh yea legendary dwarf stance and legendary demon stance its like playing two different professions in the Revenant .
They bringing back the classic stuff from the guild wars 1 and its going to be like Blast from The Past .
The class wears heavy armor so its gonna be a 'TANKY' class.
As for skills of Revenant moveset its based on ranged attacks as well as close combat that's gonna be very helpful in combat since dodge speed is kinda good in Revenant profession even with hammer you can see its pretty cool .
Hammer is particularly based on ranged attacks as well mace and axe is gonna be good in close combat with a high stability skill set and the legendary demon stance "EMBRACE THE DARKNESS" i want to use that skill so badly it looks like a demon lord who is hungry to destroy everything looks dangerous !!
The Revenant profession is like a superior one and also the Rite of the great dwarf is great as it shields the player and his/her allies from damage.
i am gonna enjoy playing the REVENANT its gonna be the real deal !!
ALL thanks to mikeB and ArenaNet for expressing our views on the Revenant
So ravenant, pretty sure that it will be a very fun profession with an interesting variety of gameplay, i will reserved a slot to this new profession when Heart of Thorns come up.
I loved the live stream reveal! They did a great job with the class so far. I would like to see more of this style from gw1 back on the current classes with more skills and weapons more often like they did in gw1. Cannot wait to try it with my own hands. Although I would like them to take their time to perfect the expansion before the release! Take your time ArenaNet release when it's really ready!
Excited about the come back of the Ritualist (Revenant), the new system of "flight" (Hope that more maps willl have this system). And... Guild Halls! Finally some guild wars in Guild Wars 2. Really missed them :'-)
For me, untill now i liked revenant transformation its like devil trigger , but i want to know anothers weapons, not a fan of hammers and mace however i liked how hammer works.
I was an avid Guild Wars 1 player, got my GWAMM title and everything, despite not being a fan of instanced games similar to GW1's design, the world, the story, and the characters drew me in and I enjoyed playing in Tyria for years. One of the biggest letdowns for GW2 for me, was the missed opportunity to integrate all of those wonderful characters and the rich history of lore the game had developed into the new design for the second title. I absolutely understand that the goals were different, the teams involved were different, and did not expect GW2 to just be a GW1 clone with a modern engine, but I was saddened at the lack of presence of something to latch on to that made me feel the same way playing GW1 did (though I love playing a Charr just wish the armor was better designed to fit the non human races and still look attractive).
With the introduction of the Revenant, I look forward to having that feeling again. Throwing hammers as a spirit of Jalis, using chaos and the powers of my enemies to fuel my rage and fell my adversaries as an incarnation of Mallyx (hello oldschool Mesmer feel finally), I can't wait to see what other aspects they add to the embodiment of the class. Fingers crossed for epic Glint aspect, maybe a Four Horsemen or Dhuum aspect from The Underworld, Shiro? Pyre Fierceshot? Kanaxai? MAD KING THORN? There are a lot of opportunities from both heroes and villains alike to do really cool stuff with a class like this, and hopefully some of the mechanics will eventually make their way to the rest of the professions to really give GW2 combat overall a more tactical feel.
I love the way that the Revenant reminds me of the Dervish of GW1 and the way that calling on of legendary heroes of the past tie in to Tyria's lore and history. Creating these touchstones to the past helps to deepen and enrich the game. It makes Tyria a great world and having an interesting and engaging world makes the exploration that this game does so well all the more enjoyable.
Quick update: sorry for the delay guys. Just waiting on the Digital Deluxe codes from ArenaNet. Soon as I have those we'll announce winners and distribute prizes.

The most exciting thing I learnt about the Revenant.. It's kind of hard to pick only one!
The thing that stroke me the most was the Floating Hammers *-*
Seriously what is better than having an army of floating hammers around you, ready to knock any enemy whether they come from front or behind?
I can't wait to play as a Revenant!!
I love that the Revenant class will use energy type system and all the connections with GW1.
Can't wait to try it :P

All die, so die well.
Mallyx stance and the weapon mechnics.
Simply going to be interesting to find out how it will work in "reality"
This have been a good conversation
