europe release

in Final Fantasy XI

Any know if there is a release planned for europe? I have tried to find info about but could not find any info about it.

    I'm not sure but I don't think. It took some months (4 I think) to test US version, and it cost a lot of money. And, if you can speak english, you better play it in english since many french games are full of bugs...

    The estimated date is march 2004, however if you want it soon just get it on import image

    march is the ps2 release date for the usa and the pc release date for Europe.

    @ Tiny, both versions are the same, just on different formats, they will both play on the sma e server, making it the first game to allow consol and pc gamers to play together.

    NB: think the ps2 version is already out in Japan?

    thx 4 the quick answer cyphor, but I think you got me wrong. I meant If there will be a Pal and a US Version for PC or is there just one which can be used for EU-Servers and US-Servers

    Ah sorry misunderstood. The PC version works world-wide so if you buy it on import it will run on any pc, im almost postive thats the same for all pc games image, they just aren't going to be marketing it in Europe till around March next year image. When this happens however those who buy it will be playing on the same servers as those with the US and Japanese versions.

    So if you live and Europe and want to play atm you can grap a copy on import and it will run as long as you meet the min spec, oh and think the only supported languages on the one from the US are English and French. I got mine on import and it runs perfectly image

    All, tnx for your reactions. I think it will be an import then because march is way to long away.

    Actually, i just read elsewhere that UK (which is presume is the same as European release) is June '04!! Can't confirm this as I haven't seen an official statement regarding it, probably wouldn't hurt to e-mail and enquire.. in any case, if you want it, don't hesitate to get it imported.. most good places you won't even have to pay that much more than if you bought it here.

    And i'd like to see some other Euro players on my server, so get importing!!! image
