If you think GW2, comparing to the rest mmo's in the market, is a failure and you abandoned mmo's because of it, then imho you must keep staying away from the genre.

well, it's a fun game, if you don't wanna go too deep
has it's flaws, but which game doesn't. also, they go b2p next months, so basically you are in for the free month, and then sub period ends (tho i think you can pay to be premium)

"bought with xpac"
Why do I have the feeling you used some dubious reseller site?
its not dubious since the plattform i bought off is leader in my country and i use it myself to sell products.
Its not a real xpac its that bonus you need to pay to get additional race or smth.

Whatever you didn't like about GW2 may be the exact same thing you don't like about ESO.
It is hard to tell as you did say what you didn't like about GW2.
1st yes it was worth 5 Dollars for 4-6 weeks of fun before a normal player becomes bored
2nd GW2 is no failure, i am watching my wife playing with 100reds of players and guild mates every evenning
if you left GW2 early you will leave ESO even earlier..........
for 5 dollars yeah. the games not for everyone but you might like it.
