Crowfall: Game of Thrones Artists & KickStarter Funds

A pair of artists who have worked on various literary projects related to the Game of Thrones IP are also working with Artcraft to create some of the concept art for Crowfall. Marc Simonetti's art is featured prominently in the GoT-related book, "The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones". Mike S. Miller has worked on the "Hedge Knight" comic book series and he has created a terrific Crowfall image utilizing his own unique style.

It is somewhat unclear how much more concept art the two will create for Crowfall as Artcraft is experimenting with the idea of working with many artists to create the vision for the game over time.

Check out more about the project and to see more of both Miller's and Simonetti's artwork on the Crowfall site.

In other news, the Crowfall KickStarter has officially raised the requested funds of $800,000. As of this writing, the initiative has raised $808,000 and change with twenty-six days to go.

Good to see that the KS project was fully backed so quickly.

But when are they seriously going to start fundraising for the game development ? That $800K isn't real money, will it even cover what they've done so far ?

perusing through their official forums they had raised 2.3mil to get where they are now. they needed a little more to finish. the KS also stands to raise a lot more money.

1 more month til season 5. finally gonna get to see Dorne.

Dont forget they wont stop collecting pledges when KS ends either.

Most of the games i backed got much much more money after KS campaign then they did in actual campaign (wasteland 2 for instance, also i guess torment will etc, pillars of eternity)

I think it's better to speak of self-crowdfunding...
