WIfe and I bought into early access for no other reason then we have no MMO we want to play right now. We know almost nothing about this game other then the freedom to play any class. Cost $19.99 and I have spent as much on a app for my phone or a night at a movie lol. Here is hoping this is worth a few nights play time lol.
Anyone else buy in????
Fans of the game, what do you love about this game????

Been playing the game on the RU server since the founder CBT opened.
It is a MMORPG stripped of all the BS included in the generic MMORPGs.
However in its core it's a lobby game with instanced missions/maps which is very similar to Warframe and there's no real open world. The loot in the game is more similar to ARPGs such as Diablo rather than the common MMORPG style.
The character progression is best on the market, being able to play all the classes on a single character and actually benefiting your "main class" from leveling the other classes. Gear drops are directly in relation to your power/prestige and as such you'll constantly get upgrades as your power increases.
Combat is medium paced yet intuitive enough to keep the game interesting.
The god, pantheon and follower system are interesting and they support your character's progression.
This said everything in the game needs to be done in order the maximize your power/prestige gain and you can't ignore for example sending followers to different tasks.
My personal opinion is that Skyforge is a rough gem but until we see the monetization and their solution to partying (Power/prestige cap prevents friends from playing together). It's still unclear whether the game will gain popularity.
The core and concepts of the game are amazing for a F2P title.
If your planing on playing it as you need a new mmo to play that you may really like it then get it, but if thing make you quit a game unbalance, bugs, or p2w don't buy it. for other people.
But for me I may or may not get it, don't want to pick it up not play it at all like my 50 steam games.
Skyforge is something people will absolutely love or hate.
Those who enjoy the classic MMORPG format with open world leveling and endgame raiding will hate it.
People who enjoy games like Warframe with heavy character progression are going to love it.
I bought shroud of the avatar and its going to be good, but ill rather wait for games be finished in future.
only really back a game if you want to make sure its going to be made, you have to wait 2 years for games to be finished and I don't want to play to mush of SoTA before its finished.
ill buy any good game bring them developers, developers don't know what people want!
developers don't think WOW is good its not it just has a following of people, its a social thing.
I don't like the game its average, blizzard can make mush better games but why should they the followers are playing that boring game!
Playing on the RU Beta atm and enjoy it MUCH!
It is a "bit" grindy tho, which i like as you get the feeling of "going forward" while doing that "grind". When it comes to the wording grind i be careful to use it because in my eyes many ppl use the word even when there is no grind. Some ppl just use it for everything, even questing is a grind for them. For me, it is the pureness of the word.
So there is grind for sure. But you rly move on with that. And that's cool (with me tho). Also i like the "way" that game works. Sometimes it feels that i play a new Version of "Vindictus", now with GFX up-to-date, new systems and whatnot.
I also bought the founders Pack and i can't wait to start here (EU). I like the Classes it has, i like the overall handling, also the "God Thing" is very cool and gives you stuff to do between everything else.
In short; Great Game!

yes to all , instances are for 1 TO 4 and group instances up to 8?,now cant remember if u are force to solo some instance for story
On the Skyforge forums a mod answered that question for me

"Pretty much all the main story up to the point I'm at is all in the standard instances. There is never a case where you're forced into solo mode. You'll be tasked with finding someone in an instance (with a quest marker showing where they are) or something and you're able to complete the rest of the instance as normal or exit at that point if you don't really want to complete it (though they're usually located near the end of each instance).
The rest of the story involves going to new areas so it leads you to see new content."

So it seems all content is teamable, thats better then some triple A MMOs that have come out as of late lol
At the current state of the game there are harsh partying limitations though. So if you are playing with someone you need to stay in the power/prestige range as them or playing together will get difficult. It is actually very game breaking unless they solve it.
"I bought early access cuse Im bored, lol"
Isn't that why most people buy early access packages ?
