all repair is for gold if you can craft the items. if you can't you can ask a friend who can( even legendary gear is repairable).
warrior package and blessing license are not needed, and you can get them with gold too. i asume you don't play the game becouse if you would you would know.
the IM mercs are far from being the best. you can get like 95% of the mercs for free from events if you actually spend time on the game. same for books.
the rest of your words show me that you have no idea what you are talking about so i will belive you have never played this game at all.
1. Not only there are temporary items (see all atlacong rewards) but there are also items that get DELETED - you participate in an event, you get an item labeled as "event", and at the end of the event, the item is deleted.
2. When you need repairing, you usually kinda need it "now". Looking for online friends (which you might not have) with high enough skill to repair (takes years or tons of money to achieve) is not a solution.
For non-players: you run around with 9 guys (actually, more, as you change formation depending on what you're doing) which wear 10 items each. These items decrease durability in time. Looking for "some friend" to repair a piece whenever that drops to zero is very very inconvenient.
3. Blessing license gives you 150% damage and 150% xp and 110% defense. It is mandatory for every serious regular player (except the whales who are usually strong enough not to need them).
The high level zones were created with the need of warrior package in mind. North America without teleportation is running 15minutes from the quest giver to the quest, while avoiding mobs in dungeons
4. Some IM mercs are great - when i left the game, Attila was the king of TBS (your main gold source), Vampire was in every pvp formation, Christine was in most people's team as a good all-arounder
5. Let the community decide who played more. I'm just here to warn people about what they're getting into. If you enjoy Nexon's tactics, good for you.
You apparently have not played recently. Quests can be turned in remotely, warrior packs and blessing lics are not mandatory in high lvl areas. I am lvl 162 and do not buy any of that stuff from the Item Mall. The event items are not usually deleted unless specified, therefore when they giveaway things like warrior packs and blessing lics you can keep them unless they specify they will be deleted.
If you're going to run this game into the ground with outdated knowledge and info that you picked up from playing years ago then maybe you should shut up and let players who have been playing tell potential players what to expect.
The game in itself is very unique and can be played casually. You do have 9 mercs + yourself to gear and lvl. You get plenty of inventory space and can buy more from the Item Mall if you feel you need to. Crafting does not take years to learn and almost all mats for crafting can be acquired through grinding and jackpotting.
The only "gear" sold in the Item Mall are legendary weapons that can be bought in game and they are not temp weapons. Mounts, decos, clothes, gear, weapons all these are perma things. Licenses are temp and have a time limit on them. Many of the boxes in the IM are gamble boxes and you can buy mercs from the IM also. IM mercs are not the best mercs you can get though and they do give a lot of new mercs out for events.
If you're looking for a game where you can max lvl in 1 wk and do nothing then don't play but if you want a game with and interesting story and many different combat styles then you might enjoy it.
if you have a gambling problem, then i seriously suggest to not even start playing this game. It'll suck you out of thousands of USD monthly.. that is no exageration. if you dont have a gambling problem, enjoy it for what it is and quit the game when the grind becomes too much w/o having to item mall.
